Is it okay if he appreciates his ex?

He showed me a picture of his ex, I replied by saying that she's very pretty, to which he replied that he knows it and he was madly in love with her, but it wasn't her beauty because of which he loved her, it was her personality, her charm and her presence in his life because of which he loved her.. Later he said that the only person he loves now is me and he has no feelings for his ex.. Should I be worried about him appreciating his ex?

Oh hell no, i would break up it's way too much and too many details about his love for his ex.

I mean it's obvious he loved her thats why he was with her but he doesn't need to describe it like that for you and make you feel like shit.
