Has he lost interest and should I stop responding?

This guy and I have been going on dates for a while and he shows genuine interest and care the most care that I’ve seen. We did sleep together and after sleeping together, he even asked me to be his girlfriend. Just to make sure where we stand I asked him days later. Are we dating for pleasure or for purpose in which he replied for purpose, of course he sees a future with me and he feels he’s gotten closer to me the past couple of weeks. He has been busy from work lately doing construction mostly, usually he’ll take 4-5 hours to respond. It seems normal, but after asking him that question I’m saying good night the next day he had said good morning at 8AM and didn’t reply until 8 PM but he did see it at 1. Is this a sign that he’s losing interest? If so, do I just stop responding?

Well if you're not doing that woman thing where you read way to deeply into small things that are just not that deep... maybe he is sick of your bullshit.
