How to properly date when he has a kid?

I am 18 and he is 23. We started talking and he told me that he has an almost 2 year old. I don’t mind that he has the kid, but I was wondering if anyone had any advice as I have never dated anybody with a child before.

You have to accept you may well be a rival for his affections, allbeit in differennt ways. His kid might be on the same level of priority as you, ar best. Try to accept a future role as a mother figure.

Try to find out what went wrong between the kid's parents.

My advice is just make sure you know why he broke with the kid’s mom. Because personally I don’t want to date a single dad because i just don’t want to get any baby’s mama drama in the future.
And also since your boyfriend has kid. You should be ready if your boyfriend see his ex or maybe go out with his ex someday for the kid.

Be your self, don't try to be the kids mom, they already have one. And understand that his child comes first, and if that's not something you can deal with, don't be with this man.
