Why guy prefer to be single for life? And how to convince him to date me?

So this guy (40m) say that he want to stay single. So far what I know is that he only dating once 10 years ago for 3 years.

I try to approach and get close to him, but it seems impossible. Like his wall is so tall and thick. How do I approach him and convince him to date me (38f)

I'll be honest I can relate to this guy. You have to understand hun. Guys are no longer hormone driven at his age. At his age guys value their peace above all. At his age a guy has seen EVERY game that is in a woman's bag. At that age you may have to convince him that his life would be better with you. If you don't want to do that, then you should probably leave him alone. Or accept that your relationship will always be platonic.
