Why do I get responses like this on dating apps all the time?

Im not the best conversationalist but its like these girls dont try I’ve had a lot of convos with girls and im just tired of ME asking all the questions and them just responding. Recently I've started unmatching them quickly if they do this am I wrong for this?… I can tell at first she was interested so I do want to carry on but I just dont know what to say to this

Nobody knows what to say. Have any friends? Practice making small talk with them.

Think of what you'd like someone to ask you. You know what's in their profile. Think of what will fill you in on more about them. "So what neighborhood so you live in? Are you enjoying your work at XYZ? You grow up here? What hobbies are you currently interested in. You didn't say much about musical tastes.

Ask open ended questions that the other person can spend a little time answering. That takes the burden off of you and you can phrase next questions based on answers from the firsts. Good luck.

I don't really do online dating, but from what I've heard, trying to make conversation is usually a dead-end. Just suggest meeting up after a few messages.
