My boyfriend was close to breaking up with me because he isn't having fun?

He said that we are alike but also different. He likes to drink and smoke weed and I don't do that. I don't mind going out to drink a bit or having an edible, I told him but it's not what I like to do to have fun but he said it's something he likes to do. I told him that he could go out with his friends to go drink but he said he rather do it with me which I understand. So he said he wasn't having fun, but also this is the first time hearing about it. Anyways we talked it out and it's good now but I told him he needs to tell me and that I am willing to go out a drink if that's something he wants to do. Do guys get bored easily? Will this break our relationship? I'm open to hearing what you all have to say just be kind. Not all of us at experts in the dating world

Look if he wants to go out and date a degenerate woman its not your eternity to pay anymore… Be glad he broke up and didn’t string you along even though it hurts. Even though you cared for him, loved him, and probably put so much effort into the relationship it was never meant to be. Allow yourself to grieve as well as learn the lessons from that relationship and hope he learns too from his bad choices.

There are so many other ways to have fun… why not go ride a roller coaster? Why not go try a new food? Like honestly if that’s all someone does for fun they are incredibly boring.

I think that you should continue talking things out but if he starts being toxic again maybe you just need to end the relationship. Also…. Maybe it was all a bluff just to see what you would do at the threat of breaking up.

This is not a guys issue, this is a him issue. If my girl doesn't drink thats a plus for me but if she does like to drink a little thats not an issue for me either. Drugs are a nogo.

Well my man also the same, likes to drink alcohol, smoke and weed but I don’t do that. And he really likes to take me to accompany him to drink just like your boyfriend, so i drink a little bit every time he takes me out to bar/club for drink, or even just home. With respect to each other, i have no problem with that.


Sometimes men just want to share and enjoy what they like to their woman.
