I’ve been talking to this younger guy for 3 years, and we have never met up. We keep talking about meeting for amazing sex, but it never happens. Why after 3 years is he still talking to me? Wouldn’t most guys just give up after a couple of times of failed meeting attempts?

How... has it possibly taken 3 years to arrange the logistics of a sexual encounter. There is no reason for that. Why are you still talking to him? Is it possible this is just fantasy and nobody was ever really meeting up? (sexting. Fantasy).

I would think that after the first year went by... you'd make the motherfucker pull up a calendar and you'd hammer out a date that works for both of you.

I do not even know what to say here. 3 years is about 2 years past way too long. Ask him this? Ask him to give you a list of 5 possible days and times (even if they're months in the future. Its been three years... what's another 6 months?).

Ask him straight up if he actually wants to meet. That's fair after 3 months. 3 years?

Most probably that he is one of those few nice guys that wants more than just fornicate. He seems to be patient enough and wait the time it takes before he can copulate with you.

That should make you feel good that he is different and does not just want sex but perhaps more than just that relatively unimportant issue in a relationship.

Are you disappointed that he still talks to you after 3 years? At least that the feeling I get when reading your post.

I mean, to a number of people, sex is not that important and waiting for the right time is not a problem for them.

Similar to what bogg said, this is about comfortability. I’m sure there’s been other women he’s had these exchanges with, and the difference between you and them was most likely that they left him alone — you didn’t. They got tired of him dragging his feet or using them to get his rocks off but other than that he’s noncommittal. No woman wants to be devalued or feel degraded and that’s all this man has to offer.

It depends on which app you're using. If a girl lives on an app that is installed on my mobile device, then it becomes habitual to talk to her as I'm scrolling through Youtube notifications and Microsoft Teams messages. There are girls on Whatsapp, for example, that know more about me than my ex-wife. But, if they're on GaG, or some app I do not have installed on my mobile device, then they are more or less side dishes.
