I met this guy from a dating app in may 2025. Throughout the first 1.5 months, we couldn't meet up due to my hectic school schedule, stress or my cough that just wouldn't go away. Finally after my cough went away, he scheduled to meet up with me one day. It was at a park, evening time, we were going to go for a walk. I asked him to meet at a specific address near the park because the park was huge. Unless if there was a specific location to meetup, there was no way we would be able to find each other that night. Then he just ghosted, dropped off the face of the earth. Never heard a reply back. We were supposed ot meet up that night. During the few days prior to this, he took a very LONG time to reply to my texts. I even told him "its ok to cancel. I have no problem with it".

Now its 1 month later after he ghosted, he suddenly came back, for no apparent reason.

Begging for me to give him another chance, after I had told him what he had done wrong.

He had made a fool of himself and now I look down on him.

He keeps arguing saying that he is a decent person.

I don't think so.

Did you think I had made the right decision.

Stir clear of these kind of people that just "test the waters"... Happened to me also when i was younger (20something years back 😅). But i "sniffed her out"... we "suppose to meet in a park" same scenario, and she arrived with some friends, she texted me that she won't be coming because she got caught up with her parents, blah, blah, blah... but then she passed me with her friends and a few steps further i heard "its him, he came to the meeting", she never turned her head, she just kept walking... so since then... Never again, want to meet? You come to me, if not then... It is what It Is! So same for you... he must've (tested the water), while meeting More than 1 girl, he got Rejected by that one, but then "he rembered" he's Got You on "hold"... so i suggest you... Leave him be! Don't get involved...

And presuming that you are not the only two people on the planet, he delayed replying... what do you want, some sympathy? That's how texting works.

So then the delays and the failed coordination (on both of your parts) is now hanging in the air. The first thing you did when he reached out was:

WAIT FOR (& EXPECT) BEGGING (again, bravo... you wanted to test if he's a man or a mouse... you have your answer)

REGAL HIGH HORSE (guys talk and they'll figure out that you're too high maintenance and frankly annoying)

He probably IS a decent person, but you're blowing it. There's only so many times you'll turn a guy away before he LISTENS and walks off for good.
