Should I be the one to tell my girlfriend that she can't sing?

She really thinks she can, but has been very off key. I love her and don't really wanna tell her, should I or let her figure it out?

If you can cope with it then don't say a word. If she enjoys it let her do it BUT don't lie if she asks. If it's too much, join in and try to sing in harmony so she can HEAR herself out of key.

I've coped with it this long, she told me she could sing on our first date and did. She didn't ask because I guess she assumed I'd enjoy it, but in my head I was thinking "yikes!".

A diplomatic resolution may be your best approach. Be kind and suggest she gets lessons to perfect her voice.

Good idea, thanks! She's sung in front of others too, but nobody's told her, they just either cover their ears or make a face and I think she's too "in the zone" to notice.

Have her audition for something and let them tell her. If you can get Simon Cowell around 2001 you're all set. And if she actually does have talent, he'll find that too.
