Was It Fair For Me To Ask Her To Help Out On our Date to Disneyland?

I met a woman on POF, and she lives about 60 minutes from me. We have had four dates, and on all of them, she drove 20 minutes to meet me, so I only had to go 40 minutes. On three of the dates, I covered the entire cost. She paid for everything on one of the dates because it was my birthday.

I asked her if she liked Disneyland, and she replied that she did. So I went home and looked at how much a ticket costs, $103.00 per person. Plus, it's an additional one-hour drive for me—one hour to her place and one hour to Disneyland.

I texted her and asked if she would drive and pay for her own meal if I paid for her ticket. She said she would have to think about it.

Was it fair for me to ask this?

It depends. Is she one of those feminist who wants equality in all things. If yes then no. Or does she just want equality when it benefits her? The same time you asked her to go. She may have not had the funds. I’ve always paid for things when I courted women, I still do w my wife of 18 years. That doesn’t mean she doesn’t help out once in a while or get us dinner or something. She can’t expect to be an equal but then want you to pay for everything. Even if it’s just dating. But at the same time like I said you asked her. So figure out which one she is, but at the same time I still stand on you asking her.

Yeah its definitely fair to ask but I personally wouldn't; maybe I'm just a bit old school lol. If I asked a girl to go somewhere I'd generally like to pay because I was the one who extended the invite and can easily afford it.

With regards to the driving, wouldn't you enjoy an additional hour talking to her in the car? Depends on how much you enjoy her company I think.

Like I said, I think its fair to ask, but I guess we won't know how well she took it, but with the response of "she'll have to think about it" I would surmise it wasn't positive...

On a regular date I don’t mind splitting bills or even buying food and letting my date buy desert or something like that
(But usually I do pay for everything if I asked her out)


In this case you don’t HAVE to go to Disneyland
It is an expensive trip
And maybe you can save it up for her birthday


But don’t go pre-confirming if she’s gonna buy her own hot dog or not beforehand
