I read your reason why you asked. Well Think about what he didn't do, he didn't choose to lie to you, string you along, try to date both you, etc…. You’re upset with the guy because you feel and got rejected after feeling like you guys hit it off…. Welcome to the life of a man, where rejection comes in many forms constantly. Sounds to me like he's a decent guy already.
For the lady that brought up military and possibly being a rep…. Like come on, really? So you would let something created society that is used to stereotype who a person is cause what could be the love of your life slip away? So what if he voted for Trump, literally every President and human being for that matter has done things people dont like but it doesn't make a person who agrees with them a bad person. What if I revealed vile acts that Dems have done throughout the years, hmm, like slav€ry, the most damaging domestic conflict America has ever experienced, the induction of Eugenics practices on private citizens (if you dont know what Eugenics it would be a good history lesson) which is how Planned ParentH came to be and how its intentions are still aligned with the Eugenics movement…. I could go on, would you suddenly change your political view and have a new disdain towards everyone who favors the left? Now dont get me wrong, Rep aren't innocent either, they just haven't been to blatantly obvious….
And no I am not a republican, I claim no loyalty to anyside because ultimately they dont care about us. And their success relies on keeping the citizens in a continuous state of internal confliction. The left is supposed to be all about inclusion, equality, dissolving discrimination, etc…. Unless theyre republican, then its ok put all those things into practice….
But is it better to judge from areas of opinion or by how you and others are treated through their actions?
Also, relationships with a greater age gap tend to last longer, due to more understanding of differences and less caring what people think about their choice to be together.11 Reply- 23 d
That's true. Maybe I will give him a shot.

23 dThe life experience between 22 and 33 is a bigger difference than the difference between 40 and 49. So, it's more of the ages you're talking about, rather than just the 9 years.
You have to consider the person you're considering too. Dating that person will tell you a lot about them. I wouldn't write them off, but, 22 is "just out there" while you've been out there a decade longer. Likely not living at home, etc...
But you'll find out the differences. No harm in trying.10 Reply
I’m dating someone 10 years younger then me actually. Plus I don’t drop under 25.

23 dYeah for sure. I think most men would agree with that.
Age genuinely does not matter, and if I didn't care to have kids, I'd be willing to date a 50 year old (I've seen some bombshell older ladies who stay in shape).
The only thing that matters to me is compatibility, which for me is about similarities. Similar views, interests, sense of humor, aligning goals, sexual compatibility, etc.
And yes, a 9 year gap would be a bit of a generational gap (like I might have watched different shows or listened to different songs growing up, but those don't matter much to me at all).
A 9 year gap isn't even incredibly uncommon. My friend got married to her husband a year and a half ago and he's 16 years older than her. Same as my cousin. She married her husband who's 16 years older than her and that was like 15 years ago. Then my grandparents on my mom's side had a 15 year difference as well.
There's a dominant submissive dynamic in the relationship between men and women. Women generally like a guy "at least" older than them. But also bigger, stronger, taller, and at their level of intelligence or more intelligent. And for men, it's vice-versa. And that relates to the bedroom as well.
Age only matters to sheep in my opinion. As long as you're past the age of puberty, there's mutual attraction, and consent on both sides, age does not matter.20 Reply 3.1K opinions shared on Dating topic. Yes , mainly because I don’t hold age as a deciding factor to a certain extent , all that matters is you have great chemistry and connection together and enjoy spending time with each other , some younger people have better manners and more mature than people are age or older , so chemistry and connection and attraction is where it’s at

10 Reply 4.4K opinions shared on Dating topic. Sure, as general rule younger is better, it usually the young one who should be asked if he/she would date someone older, people at twenty are at their prime, they didn't hit the wall.

10 Reply4.1K opinions shared on Dating topic. I would have yes. In fact, I am talking to a woman right now who I had a crush on. She is almost 16 years younger than me now. I was 36 when I met her; she 20. This was back in spring 1999. I just found her again this week; she just turned 47 and I turn 63 in a few weeks. I am married to someone else, but, so a certain extent, I wish I had never left this girl's life and we might have been a couple. But the age gap was too large really and, in the long run, I am not sure I would have been enough for her. Amazingly, I discovered she never married or had kids.

22 dI tried 10 years younger and no I would not like to do that again. Too immature and they always disappoint because they don't have the knowledge with woman to know what we want or how to treat us nicely. Plus you said this guy chose someone else, he most likely isn't worth a second chance especially a military dude, they cheat all the time.

22 dI have dated women younger and older than myself and none of the relationships ended in what I ultimately want which is marriage and a family. Honestly, I would say that for whatever reason, each relationship gave me something to cherish with that woman whether it was a memory or a feeling that I can recall. I have been dating myself for the last 10 years and going to therapy to become a better mate for when the right female comes into my life and I can say I have grown a lot. Life is a journey, whether you have a partner or not, so be happy with yourself first before you get into a new relationship.
10 Reply2.5K opinions shared on Dating topic. I would have, sure.
When I was 36, I met a 30 year old named Petra. So that was a 6 year difference. We got along great and wound up living together for two years. In fact, she was the best girlfriend I ever had before I met my wife.
Petra was extraordinary. I loved her with all my heart and she loved me.10 Reply- 2.9K opinions shared on Dating topic.

I was thinking about going out with a guy I met online back in January. We've been talking off and on for months but I never took him too seriously after what he did to me in the beginning of January. He chose another girl over me but it didn't work out with her and he asked me out recently. But he's in basic training right now and won't be done until the middle of December. So I'm considering it but I'm not sure if I should.
- 23 d
He's 24 years old.
- 23 d
I wouldn’t trust him. He may not be in the same place as you right now, which is a kind way of saying he might just want to hook up. Also, any guy who just joined the military right now probably has Republican politics, which may or may not matter to you.
- 23 d
That's true. I may not go out with him then. Thanks.

22 dAge gaps don’t bother me as long as the connection feels balanced.
If the maturity, values, and intentions line up, 9 years isn’t a problem.
What matters most is how two people show up for each other.10 Reply
23 dNo, since that would make them 16 and then I end up being someone elses little bitch in prison for the rest of my life for being a pedo and that's not really on my bucket list of things to do today.

18 dI met someone online over 3 years ago. She was 19 years younger than me. We both thought we had nothing in common and in our own minds had zero expectations one the first date.
Over three years later, we are still dating and it's the best relationship we have ever had!
10 Reply5.7K opinions shared on Dating topic. As a man, yes I might consider going out with a woman who is 9 years younger to me but provided she is not only physically beautiful but also has a equally good personality.

10 Reply16.8K opinions shared on Dating topic. I am married, but no, I wouldn't. That would be a 27-year-old man and most likely still going through his juvenile bullshit phase.

yeah that phase can last until 70.
Cause you're 40 and she's 31. Cause you're 50 and she's 41.
Because younger people tend to be more attractive.
Because many younger women prefer older men.
