I had difficulty establishing boundaries in my youth. I wasn’t taught that.
I have experienced a world of negative consequences for being vulnerable when i shouldn’t have. I wasn’t taught that either.
It took most of my life, but i finally have a pretty good grasp of both.
That said, as a man, i find the consequences for setting boundaries have been significantly more tenable than those for demonstrating vulnerability.
vulnerability, I've done this in mixed ways growing up but it's usually gone really badly so I don't do it. It's lead to period of being depressed, then stoic and alpha feeling about it and then depression again either way.
Vulnerability is harder for me. Opening up means I don’t know how the other person will react, and that uncertainty makes it scary. If someone responds badly or jokes about it, it can stick with me, and I won’t feel the same towards that person anymore, so it takes a lot for me to be that open
Vulnerability (sharing) has always been easier than boundaries, but it's something I have to work on in 2026.

Vulnerability. I think it takes much more courage to have your wall down than to keep it up and high. I want to know what's on my partner's mind as often as I can and the only way for me to know that for sure is that they tell me.
I can open up to a partner but i sometimes try to do too much, so i guess boundaries are more difficult. . . but not a big problem.
Boundaries. I honestly don't know where to stop sometimes especially when it comes to messaging.
@coachTanthony Coach, I want to answer your question but really don't know the context you are posing the question for? Relationships, etc. ? Duh, sorry to sound stupid but I guess I don't know how to answer or what answer to pick based on that?
LOL I was hoping the photo would explain it
@coachTanthony In answering, I have to say neither is hard for me, taking it from other's responses
Boundaries used to be harder.
Vulnerability feels natural to me but learning to protect my energy took intention.
Now I see both as strength.
One opens the door, the other decides who gets to stay.
If in any relationship there are no boundaries it's being worse day by day.. But personally iam unable to creat boundaries I care someone deeply without boundaries and he ignore me and use me like a tissue paper..
I don't have boundaries in relationships. If my partner is acting from a place of love and respect, why would I want to tell them what they can and cannot do, make their love smaller, make them smaller? If they are not then I walk away.
I would have to say boundaries. I’ve been getting better about it and still working on it. I guess vulnerability is a problem as well. It depends on the person I’m confiding in.
I’m an open book. I share easily. So I guess boundaries
Definitely vulnerability. I have absolutely no problem with telling someone to step off when they consistently cross my boundaries. But it takes me a while to trust someone to the point where I trust them with my vulnerabilities.
Can't answer that tell I know the context you are referring to.
To deal with, to have/be yourself, to get others to respect about you when dating, all are different answers.
I have no problems with boundaries at all, LOL. Nor do I feel the need to whine about the challenges in my life to other people, certainly not women. Some stuff doesn't need to be shared.
Both come hand in hand. You have boundaries because of vulnerability
Neither. But both are rather stupid to have, if they are your only defences.
First, though I'd lay my #blackboyjoy on that broad !!!
I think what you mean is
Do you prefer to be vulnerable?
Or
Do you prefer to be reserved?
lol no
Boundaries. Vulnerability is easy.
