3 moYes. When I was young, a girl who didn't like me, kicked me in the nuts during school recess play. I cried in pain.

3 moI am a man. Men do not cry. However, multiple girls/women made me hate my life and the society. Does that count?

@DishLady Yes, there is very much a price. A man caught crying is literally not considered a man anymore by most of the society. Even if You are different, fair Lady, men are not clairvoyant and will not usually risk crying in front of You. I suppose a funeral might be the only exception - but then again, a man is not supposed to go to a funeral to attract the attention of other people - and definitely not female attention. Also, since You were Your Grandpa's granddaughter, maybe He just felt relaxed next to You because You were family (and not His wife - crying in front of one's wife/girlfriend is the fastest path to being cheated on and divorced/dumped). 🙂

Who the hell says, "Men do not cry?" We get our hearts broken, and we don't let the women see it, but we do cry. The loss of a love relationship is perceived by the brain as the same as a death, and the person who rejected you is the one who has "died." One must go through a period of mourning and grieving for the lost relationship, and for the person herself, before one can heal and pick up the pieces of his life and move on. There is nothing to be ashamed of. Guys who try to live up to some stupid standard of "masculinity" which says that guys "never show emotions" are often heading for a nice heart attack later on. This has been medically documented. Stress is a form of energy and it has to go somewhere. You CANNOT just put a lid on it because it will ultimately blow up in your face.

I cry.

@MrChinaski Good luck with women, mate... And I'm not even making fun of You, I genuinely believe You will need it. Unless You can afford to be over this crap...
- 3 mo
@Keyboardkat Well... Even if I agreed with You, it's simply not socially acceptable for men to show emotions, especially those that are considered to signify weakness. If You really need to vent Your emotions, anger, fury and hatred will cause You much less social harm than sorrow or despair (expressed by crying). Unless we dive into other uses of the word "crying", which is sometimes admittedly used instead of "shouting"/"yelling"/"cursing out loud". These examples of "crying" would be acceptable. Perhaps not in a court of law, if You aimed those at some woman who ruined Your life, but in a general context of venting Your frustration, they would be fine.

3 moNot directly, at least not as an adult. I was a pretty sensitive child. So if my sisters count, for sure girls have made me cry. They also shook loose a wicked little red-headed tyrant though and i gave as good as i got.
As an adult, i have cried over women but it’s more about the loss of what could have been and/or what i wanted to be. Because of my sensitivities, i learned to protect myself from cruel people fairly well early on. So if a woman tries to hurt my feelings, i can shut them off to her completely. My experience suggests that they hate that the most. The feeling of being wholly unimportant and ineffectual completely ruins vindictive women. Fortunately i’ve only had a couple resort to violence. A single stern warning was all it took to shut them both down.10 Reply 3.9K opinions shared on Dating topic. I made a grown man cry once -- by accident. I was pregnant so my sense of smell was off. I added my "super hot" cayenne blend to my sauce twice... Oooooh. Nooooooo bueno. I thought the guy was gonna soak his whole face into the pitcher of water.

Oh, that wasn't really crying... It was a natural response by this man's body. Not that I would allow myself even this much leeway - I don't even allow myself to "cry" while cutting onions (not that I cut onions a lot anyway). I just hate the idea of anyone, most importantly any woman, seeing me with tears of any origin in my eyes. 😄

@CalmUntilAbused Ah... well you weren't particular in the question asking and I always remember that one now when prepping anything with that spice. It's got a big kick to it.

u 3 moYes, when I was younger and I thought my life depended on the girl I was living with, she broke my heart and I cried. I took a week off of work and left town while she moved out.

When I was 36, I met a 30 year old. She was the first one of my girlfriends that I fell totally in love with. I idolized everything about her and she loved me.
I wound up keeping my apartment but brought necessities and some clothes to the house she was renting and lived with her for two years.
As it turned out, we could not have made it as life-long partners. The reasons are too complicated to explain.
We separated even though we loved each other. She moved out of state.
I have never experienced such pain in my life. Being without her was almost too much to endure. My guts constantly felt like I had the wind kicked out of me. At times, when I was alone, I would double over and bawl.
It took me over a year to pull myself together and get on with my life.10 Reply
3 moI’ve made guys I was with cry unfortunately. Including my current husband. We have our ups and downs but made a vow to each other we plan on sticking by. I’m human I fuck up like everyone else it happens I lose my temper and shit goes down. What I respect about most of my relationships is we were able to move past it. Take accountability for our actions that’s what counts really. All you can do is do better in the future!!
20 ReplyLots of them. My second girlfriend, when she broke up with me. Another girl I was madly in love with and could never be with. I was younger then, but crying is like an escape valve. It gets the hurt and the rage out of your system.

3 moTy for inviting me to share.
I dont think I've ever made a guy cry unless it was something when we were little that I dont really remember. And since I'm lezzie I know I haven't broken any guy's hearts, lol!
My oldest sister has driven a few guys to tears of frustration since she's a really good hunter and frequently wins the coveted Big Buck contest we have in these parts! 🤣
