I try to be pretty direct for me to just get up and leave it would have to be going REALLY bad especially since I like the first few dates to be pretty simple without pressure on either of us. Coffee works best for a first date I don’t want to be stuck with someone or someone to feel stuck with me if things aren’t working.

If it gets to the point where I’m walking out on someone. You have obviously crossed some boundaries and will know why I’m leaving. If it’s just not working out that’s not a huge deal we just respectfully have that conversation.

I'm not the creative type. When I'm done I'm done. It would be more like... "You can leave now. I'll take care of the bill. Enjoy the rest of your evening. It was interesting meeting you."

I had some not so great dates but only one I decided to deliberately end early as in, leave the dinner. I claimed a friend needed to talk to me about something important. I don’t know if he believed me, honestly I assumed he didn’t and that would be OK. I probably should have just said “I think I’m going to leave, thank you” without any pretense, he ended up texting me a bunch and I answered rarely and was noncommittal, he eventually gave up.

I don’t think I have ever had a bad date. All were fine.

I just had a date right the day I took my splint off from my nose after surgery, did I look my best? Nope.
The date was amazing though… :) We couldn’t stop talking for hours despite both of us being late for trips to another countries.

I wish I could’ve come up with a better excuse, but one time a bad date was such a negative Nancy about everything we talked about and brought up his ex girlfriend issues… I immediately thanked him for the date and said I need to go home to rest since I start work really early the next day… even though I actually start work at 9AM Lol. There was one date I should have ended as soon as it started. I contacted her based on an online profile, and when we met I saw that the picture she had posted was about ten years a hundred pounds out of date. I should have just said "I'm sorry but you don't resemble the picture you posted. I don't think this is going to work. Best wishes."

I can tell you what happened to me… he was on his phone, he looked at the waitress, he devalued me, threw stuff back in my face I told him, mentioned sex…. Just became a jerk towards the end.

The only time I ever wanted to end a date early was with the last girl I dated before I met my future wife. We were going to a concert that was at her college and I was going to dump her right after that. As soon as the concert was over I told her i had to get up early the next day to go to work. I never saw her again.

She was not my type at all... but I did prepare for that possibility, so yes, it was phone emergency, my brother called, so I had to leave as soon as possible, cause "he had a car accident" :P
