Can I get in trouble if my address at work is wrong?

My address is combined of numbers that could look similar when written. Let's say my address was 8336, they have it down as 8330. I've filled out 2 papers already to have it changed and it's still coming back as 8330. They gave me another form to fill out, but I said forget it. My check comes, I get my W2's, so I'm good. The address being wrong doesn't affect me getting anything. My coworker said I could be arrested if I don't fix it even though I've tried twice already and they keep getting it wrong.

Yes I don´t know where you come from in my country it´s betrayal because you need to give them the right address because they might pay an issurance or something similar for you and they might give your address state officials. So it can get you into trouble.

United States. I'm part time so I don't receive benefits or insurance or anything like that. I've already filled out the paperwork to change my address and it's still the incorrect one. I have copies of the ones I already submitted. How do I get them to change it so I don't have to keep going through this?

Maybe tell them you moved recently. That way you avoid telling them that you have lied to them in the first place.

But I did not lie. I wrote my address down as "123" they have it down as "120." I've filled paperwork to have them change it over and over again, and they still have not changed it. When I complained, they gave me more paperwork to fill out.

You won't be arrested just because your adress is incorrect. What crime would they arrest you on?

But it's best to make sure they have the correct adress. If you pay NI , pay into a pension and pay tax, somewhere down the line they may be a loophole that stops you benefiting from what you've paid into because of the error.

Plus, if you had an accident at work their insurance may not cover you due to the error.

You may need to fail a complaint. And you have to report that immediately. Something is entirely wrong. Somebody keeps making that mistake You should have just got the other form just in case, if I were you because either way, they can still risk you to be in that position even though it was not your fault.
