What are some of the coldest record temps in your area?

In my area was January 9, 1977 at 7:30am in Barron County the reported temperature of -60F degrees below zero

Sorry folks, but I picked my MN neighbors for MHO.. They reported the coldest temps

I would have thought my friends in Canada would have said temps like 1 billion below zero or something, but they reported back with about the same as me

all i know was when it was 24 degrees once my nose was burning, no more shivering, face felt frozen, finger tips were blue... think am missing other things about how i felt, really seen my breath like a thick white cloud...

The coldest I remember was a few years ago when it got to -30F and school was canceled for a week.

What i habe seen and felt is about 42 minus Celsius. The coldest as the internet says was about 53 minus Celsius (almost as cold as -60 F)

In late 1989 or early 1990, it got down to around -20F when I lived in St. Louis County, Missouri.

I think it was 1963, the lowest recorded temp was 8°F.

In contrast, the highest from a few years ago was 117°F.

It’s very rare to be in the negatives here on Long Island but it has happened but was not too far down or long, the canals used to freeze so much we could walk on them when I was a kid but it doesn’t happen anymore
