How do I improve my English?

Question

I'm good in writing but I need to improve a lot incase of speaking English. Here is a sample of my English speaking :

I said, "Hello everyone Apple here! I am a 13 yr old girl who have interest in Writing and Music. It took me a lot of courage to post my voice on here because I'm insecure about it. Anyways lately I've been trying to improve my English speaking. I recorded myself like I read some paragraph and record it and listen it but it is still weird like it was few months ago. You can see I mean you can hear I'm stuttering a lot. I thought it will be great to ask suggestions from native English speakers. So how do I improve my English? And what do you think about my English? It will be great if you share your opinion. Thank you".

im not a native English speaker but i can suggest you to watch or listen to anything in English from native English speakers. you're great at English for the most part, but you need to work on forming sentences consistently (like subject-verb-agreement and not omit prepositions and articles. you'll know what i mean if u read the examples).

for example, instead of "im a 13 year old girl who HAVE interest in writing and music", it's "im a 13 year old girl who HAS AN interest in writing and music". "I recorded myself like I read some paragraph and record it and listen it" whereas it's "i recorded myself like i read some paragraph and recorded it and listened to it". i may be pointing out the pettiest stuff, but if u want your English to improve even more, you have to pay attention to the small stuff. (damn, been a while since i wrote a wall of text)

Your English is great! You do have an accent, but really almost no one cares about that. It was easy to understand what you were saying. Both of my parents are English majors and I am a very good English speaker so if you have any questions you can dm me. Good job!

There's always room for improvement, but I think you did great! And you're on the right track, practicing reading paragraphs will help. The more you do it the more naturally your brain will be able to do it (so less stuttering).

As for you not seeing any improvement, sometimes improvement is like that. Sometimes you have bursts of improvement, sometimes it doesn't seem like you're getting much better. That's just how things are sometimes. They key is to stay strong and don't give up when you dont see much improvement, because it's only a matter of time that you start noticing improvement again.

I understand accents in English better than someone but it is very good English. It would help if you find a free English movie on YouTube and put subtitles on for your choice of language for best understanding.

I’m half Russian but was born in America so I helps for me the best is to find a song and translate it and remember the meanings of each word and hear what it sounds like.

My suggestion which helped me learn to speak some Mandarin (Chinese).

Find a person who is a native speaker of English and wants to learn your language and setup Zoom sessions to practice each other's language together.

It was a lot of fun and made learning painless.

cute :D well i guess you can always watch how people speak it on our news stations. like cnn for example. and just focus on where they annunciate their syllables and emulate that.

Firstly dont doubt yourself in any way coz you are very bright and intelligent for your and your was good, i would recommend you to talk in English while standing infront of mirror and you can join public speaking class where you'll meet people like you and teachers over there will help you out and it can be in your summer vacations too 🙂

You speak quite well tbf. Maybe try interacting more with people in English. But im guessing in your country you talk in a mix of your language and English with your friends. Maybe listen to BBC or sky news. English news channels. You have a good grip on it.

Your English is good. Continue to practice speaking it as much as possible. Try to have conversations with English speaking people. When you are old enough consider studying in an English speaking country.
