No TV, no Televsion. Were you or kids you know disadvantaged because you didn't watch TV growing up?

Too much screentime isn't good for eye development in young children but.. I am not
talking about phsyical advantage... I refer to 1) language development,
2) social awareness, Etcetera... yes they can read a book which has its own advantages for sure, though there may be less advantages (not sure) such as lacking live visualizations.

Concerning 1) language development I read that it varies a lot how many words each tv script or book has.. and then individual reading pages... so we can't be sure if a person can consume more words in an hour of listening to TV vs reading.. since a book is pure words, and TV show has many scenes and intervals without words... I might assume that an AVID and EFFICIENT reader would get exposure to more words than a TV watcher.

2) Make sure to comment about social awareness, sociability and other aspects you can think of where you did or did not see advantages, whether you are in favor of TV or no TV.

3) Also don't only focus on books,
kids may spend an hour or 2 or something else playing outdoors or with other kids... lol, there may not be much talking though, and not many exemplary talking either (meaning a kid will have limited vocabulary compared to the average functioning adult).

4) etc?

Lol... I kind of expect minimal responses but hopefully various generations find this question... I don't expect many Gen Zs to know what it means to not watch TV.
