The degree is kinda a bullshit requirement. They're probably not even gonna ask you to show you have it or to even confirm it's the right field.
They just want to weed out some of the bullshitters (which this industry is full of top to bottom)
I don't know what a studio arts degree even is but if you're trying to get into a graphic design job, you should have a degree that conveys you know illustrator, you can explain the basics of how to paint, composition, structure, order, color theory, a little marketing knowledge will go a long way, especially if you plan on freelancing.
Also for your portfolio by the way you should do some iconography. I love hiring people who have shown they can make various designs that fit into a specific style.
The keyword with the creative world as a whole is consistency. Learn from people who take interest when you bring it up. They will make you a lot of money.
Thank you so much for the helpful reply, and I am so thankful someone here could be so helpful
A portfolio goes a long way when doing graphic design.

These jobs come down to connections. Not worthless degrees.
that's one of those majors that is fun so there is no strong demand for hte work. you would find something eventually but it would pay badly and be unfulfilling
follow your opportunities not your passions
I don't see why not. It's probably more about your portfolio and work ethic
That is all beyond my expertise!
Probably as long as you have good connection!
yes of course
Absolutely
But you should be expert in designing software
