Why am I the one always being taken advantage of?

I understand it's because I let it happen... but I need to get to the root of the issue on what's wrong with me.

A big executive lady asked me to help her with her project on my 2nd week of work. She knew others could do it even insisted I go ask others if I can't do it.

Now 1 month later. A coworker who never really liked me is being more friendlier because I offered them help the other week. They are now putting some of their work onto me. (I wasn't sure at the time if I was supposed to do it or not. I offered to help. My boss knew it was for them to do it and not me when I asked about it.)

I don't know I'm too nice because I just want friends and to look good at work.

You want to get to the root of why you’re too nice? Therapy or professional help could help a lot. Personally I’ve just learned to set boundaries, and respect myself enough not to be someone’s doormat. I understand wanting friends at work, but that’s not what you’re there for. What you’re there for is to make a living, and get through your shifts without issues. So aim for that, not to be a people pleaser.

Pursuing a psychologist for counseling services seems like a good idea.
