WWhats something you learned about working?

I learned that sexual harassment amomg others is typical and from what i have seen and heard it seems like a lot of bosses can fire you for stupid fake reasons and not be held accountablem HR has to be a joke. When people say go to HR i really wanna smack them upside th head. Maybe in Candyland HR is a magical just court of law.

In reality...

I learned i have to pick a job where i actually like what im working with or what im doing or eventually sooner or later i will get so drained with the job even if i can stand the people or whatever.. and i will want to leave hastily. And if the environment is unbearably toxic like full of harassment then you will wantto leave even sooner and will hate work even more and as i said before... Harassment is typical at jobs... id be surprised if i didn't see or experience it! Im talking harassment thats against the LAW. Not just that my feelings got hurt. Stuff that you're supposed to report.

Anyway... Now i landed a new gig and the work is something I've wanted to do fr a long time but never got the chance... never thought id get one... So i think this will be good cause i will wake up and actually ENJOY doing the work itself. Its not just boring lame reprtirive crap i couldnt care less about. I mean theyre gonna have me do some boring stuff too probably but at least i will get to do something i love.

Early on, everyone struggles to find their place in the working world.

I am surprised to hear women getting harassed in States. That's often ends badly for the guys that dip their pen into the company ink. Most men get fired on mere accusation. This is the post MeToo reality for guys at work. There has been a lot of push back in offices with a lot of men, to have many, if any women. There are a lot of articles about this in business publications. And after COVID, women are having it harder to get back into an office setting. Many men flat fear that they could be doing everything right and get fired over a mere accusation.

The best thing I learned about working is to treat everyone with respect including your trouble types and even enemies. You keep an eye and don't forget they will sink you, but staying professional makes it hard to say anything negative.

HR is there to make sure the company's interest is optimal. They are not there purely for the employee's benefit. If you're on the right side of the issue, and many people can delude themselves to be overly etherical and able to go outside their role to get stuff done. These people always stay in trouble and often get let go. Make sure you remain a team member and only communicate to your manager if you see issues, have ideas, and want to do more than you have been tasked to do.

1. Sexual harassment is the norm. I only hear cats conplain about being scaredy cats online and i don't take any of that shit seriously. I don't know why anyone would even think the world would go from honor killing rape victims or whatever to all a sudden punishing sex offenders just cause a law was made. In fact the men whp have mentioned me too irl were the ones harassing me sexually..
I dont take any male whining about metoo or feminism seriously at all.

As for me I leaned the more you make the more they take as in taxes.

This is really true for people on hourly overtime. Once the extra taxes come out, they make about what they would during their first 40.
