How great or how bad was your freshman year of college? If you had roommates what were they like?

I went to a community college and lived at home at first, then I transferred to a University later. My first year at the University I was in the dorm and it was nice. I met a lot of people who I am still in touch with to this day. Roommates were OK. I admit it was a bit distracting living in the dorm so I really had to concentrate on studying.

It was great. Pretty wild at times but overall great. My roommate was great and my friend group that I met my freshman year I'm still close with today.

I did not have a freshman year at college as Americans would have one. My first year was intensive engineering training across, machining, welding, electrical, pipe fitting, bench fitting, and sheet metalwork.
Then I had the academic side of those stacked on top so my day was 8am - 7pm five days a week. on the weekend I was shattered so Saturday was a washout, Sunday for fun, then back on the treadmill Monday.

probably one of the best years of my life... with my girlfriend and her two best friends, which became also best friends of mine, during that year... lol
