It was kinda like this….
https://www.youtube.com/embed/S2lRwyXGUiQLmao, I wasn’t THAT bad, but we were mismatched in that I was a little on the rowdy side, and he was…. he was in the marching band, lmfao. And I’m white as fuck, I didn’t go to an HBCU where the marching band is kinda cool, I just went to a regular college with a bunch of band geeks in the marching band. No disrespect, lmao, good kids, and maybe they even go hard behind the scenes like in American Pie…but it’s still a different kind of party than the ones I go to, haha. And my roommate just plain old DID NOT party.
The first weekend we had this big party in our dorm, and I got FADED, lmfao. He had left for the night to go help his girlfriend move into her dorm at another school like an hour away.
I was roughhousing all night, probably trying to assert dominance in my 18 year old mind🙄🤦♂️😂 All in fun, but maybe trying to introduce myself as something of a tough guy, lmao. And the crowd was liking it, so I’m sure I was rolling with it, fueled by Bacardi 151. At some point during the party, my new friends convinced me that my roommate’s potted plant that was hanging underneath his elevated bed where he set up his desk. This thing was just hanging there looking like a speed bag, and I just cocked back and punched it as hard as I could. I split the plastic pot, huge mess. Then I later passed out on the floor, and woke up to him walking in to me laying face down in the potting soil from his plant (RIP😂). I don’t think he was super enthused, lmfao.
I also had a pretty volatile relationship with my girlfriend from high school, who was in retrospect a jealous lunatic. So there were some loud phone conversations in our room.
We never really directly clashed, no big arguments, but he was just 18 going on 55, trying to bust through college real quick and be a music teacher and marry his high school sweetheart. Kid was just a square, and that’s fine. I was at college for the Animal House experience, haha. I stayed for like eight years.
So November rolled around, and he moved out and into a neighboring dorm with this other square, who was his best friend and was his girlfriend’s brother or cousin or something like that. I ended up with a “double-single” for the rest of the year. Pushed the two beds together and was stretching out every night, it was beautiful, haha.
Then the next year I was suspended the first semester for my grades, lmao, and came in on some kid’s room halfway through the year. Real cool kid, but I was a small room for two people, he had his shit all set up, he had a steady girlfriend who stayed over a lot of nights, and the first few days I just told “bro, you’re cool, it’s nothing personal, but I feel bad fucking up your vibe, and there’s not enough room for us both, you have your girl…. I’m going to put in for a room switch”, and he was totally good with that, haha.
I ended up getting a new room a couple weeks later, also had to crash in on another guy expecting a place to himself, but even that worked out, because he was a super-senior, he was taking one final class to graduate, and he had a job and an apartment like two hours away, he just crashed at the dorm on Monday night for Tuesday classes. Barely saw the kid.
So I had really good luck with roommates in college, in that I barely had them, until I lived off campus with friends. Got along fine with the three short-lived ones I had on a personal level, we just had lifestyle clashes so we found more amenable situations.
*my new friends convinced me that my roommate’s potted plant that was hanging underneath his elevated bed where he set up his desk WAS TALKING SHIT ABOUT ME😂
didn't really had one...
campus was near my home, so I did live home... and then I moved in to a place with my girlfriend at the time who was also my classmate, so that went great... of course, lol
My twin sister was my roommate all throughout college. It was great!
I was too busy making money to go to college.

I did not get along with my first roommate. I think that the college matched people that had common interests and had two people left over that did not have anything in common with anyone and put them together. I liked this kids parents but I did not like him. He moved out after the first semester.
Lol I feel like me and my college roommate so to speak got along as best as anyone could hope for 😧😧🤣😧
To become, the champion 🏆💪🏻 lol
Or as they say in wedding crashers movie, a 🐓 man hero champion ♂️
Or was it this one lol 🐔🐓 ah well - hooray men ♂️ even though I love "some women, not all women are bad apples in a good bunch" 🥲😋 🍏🍎 there are good apples. If only they weren't so rare aka like comparing bad guys with good guys - 😁 - there's all sorts of folks out there
Some of them even reformed from jails, mental health wards, so anyways, I'm always mindful - that I'm just a humble simpleton 👀♂️ I find it amusing that people do walk on some folks, yet they wouldn't give bad manners to someone "bigger and tougher" then themselves , like butch women, and I don't mean spell check, butch women, manly men, they do exist ♂️♀️ and I try to be a good nerd 🤓
Anyways moving on, day continues😃😃
And I try to stay the hell out of the way, of people bigger than me :) lol
I ended up dating her and we are still together.
