Why most kids aren't allowed to explore the wonders, abstract concepts and mysteries of this world?

You are very much loved until you're 3.

Then you start going to school. This is where the rat race starts.

All time pressure to focus on your grades and limited extra curriculars like : sports or music.

• Art, astronomy, imagination related stuff, travel, fashion, knowledge of different cultures, design, etc are looked upon as a pipe dream or just a timepass even if a kid is just 9-14.

Then the race intensifies during elementary and high school.

Cram stuff > extra classes > soccer > study at home > do chores > win quizzes and debates > socialize with everyone to conform to society's standards.

(This is how you're an all rounder).

• Then most people are confused for the major they want for undergraduate studies. They end up doing a course just to have a Bachelor's degree.
• When choosing a career they have no clue and now they're miserable in their jobs.

Life goes wasted on paying rent, bill and taxes. Some choose to end their lives.

• Most of them can't explore even after finishing college because parents will force you to rush with everything
• IF YOU don't listen to them, you are an adult and can get out of the house.

Again you end up in the rat race otherwise you'll die on streets.

It's ridiculous on what they're teaching in school versus the things that will just open their minds and make them want to learn and make them not only learn the subjects that school is teaching but more than that I mean how many kids are taught cause and effect those three words right there will change somebody's life if you can help them understand what it means our planet is so beautiful our planet and we as people I don't think we know anything about ourselves what we are capable of we only use 7% of our brain and that's where we're stuck it's because of what we're being taught we're not even thinking about what we are capable of doing you open the kids mind and let him explore and experience and see the beautiful things on this planet and the things that we can all do the thing that animals can all do it will take into a different level of life we're dummies I think we are dummies because we're so caught up in the rat race of nothing of killing each other because of land or because we want something we're fucking so ignorant we're so stupid and it's because where we are in schools and our parents however they're brought up they bring their kids up the same way except for many of them without any love it blows me away

You're talking about poor families who can't afford to risk what their child wanted which is reasonable. The world is competitive and they can't afford the risk of failing and trying again and again. But if they have enough, then they dont have the reason to unless they have a mindset of a poor and unsuccessful family.

What kind of world do you think we live in?

You bemoan the work needed to develop oneself in our modern society into something USEFUL; yet, what's the alternative? We all just frolic through fields, doing whatever we're passionate about, and nobody ever has to go hungry, struggle, sacrifice, or work ever, because all of that is just the "RAT RACE?"

Even if the average work week was halved, life is still a competition to organize yourselves as highly in a hierarchy as possible. The state/ society pays for your schooling, protects you from being killed when 200 years ago you had little chance of even living past 5, to where you can enter a peaceful occupation (largely safe, no longer big wars where you'll get shredded by the millions), and have a family/ life that is largely based on how well you've shown yourself capable of contributing to society... yet, it's an unfair "rat race," because YOU somehow know what is a fulfilling life, huh?

You have absolutely no clue how coddled and privileged modern people are compared to what humans were for 99.9% of our history. Not to mention, I've been financially well off enough to retire for the rest of my life as of last year- I took three months off to just wander, read, and travel about, and I was SO unbelievably bored at the end of it I jumped at the opportunity to work again. Humans were meant to live in this race, and without it we lose our minds.

Nice to know your opinion. First way can be self awareness and confidence. Most of us weren't able to explore and experiment as we were taught to follow everyone else but ourselves. There was very little confidence, curiosity and the mentality that different things ARE possible.

In the UK children start formal education at the age of 6, while I have no children of my own I have invested in my nieces and nephews, supported what they have wished to do, they were computer literate before they started schooling, and they had a minimum of 1 day trip to museums and galleries and fun days out each month, those that went to University did so because they wanted to not because they were forced to and they are in the minority nieces and nephews, the rest have decided on vocational careers.

But the problem is the diminishing purchasing power of our salaries. We are getting less for the money we make unless we get more money to do the things we like doing and they're not free.
