How much responsibility do you think falls on the media in teaching the youth good values and right conduct?

None. The media thinking they are the caretakers and teachers of children is a major part of why we have such a big mess today. Unfortunately there have been a lot of parents who actually want this kind of stuff.

This started in television 40+ years ago. It seemed innocent at first, but it was a terrible slippery slope. A children's cartoon that suggests that kids bush their teeth seems innocent enough. But what about when they start teaching moral values, political views, and a host of other subjective and controversial things?

When you have shows aimed at children that have a political or social agenda and push that agenda on children, then it's called brainwashing. And this is exactly what has been happening. And it's exactly what many people have complained about and warned about for 40+ years. It's extraordinarily dangerous.

I believe morality is taught not just with conscience but also with a personal mission. The reason Chinese people are so morally conservative even though they have abortion, is that Chinese people are raised with an obsessive work mandate all their lives, if you don't work, you starve, you get divorced, your friendless, you have to live in a very bad area and nobody who has lived in cities all their life can handle living on a farm which is what happens to people that can't afford the city apartments which cost 5 times more then they do in Canada. If they don't work very very very hard to buy a city home, they have to live on a farm and do physical labour for 16 hours a day.

A lot because the media puts out the role models children compare themselves, too. Many if not most kids compare themselves and spend much in front of a screen. Media has overtaken this role from school.

It should be none yes but I don't think that's realistic or possible in a day day and age where much is influenced by YouTube and social media. There are parts of life that parents can't control.
