This guy was hired as a supervisor.
honestly he was doing such a bad job (the type who really couldn’t care less so everyone has to work 200 percent to compensate)
I didn’t hate him personally, but began to hate him as I was doing his job but he was the one labelled supervisor.
anyway out of nowhere he told me he quit. And is leaving in a week. He lies a lot so I did not believe him (honestly I thought he was fired). Apparently he did quit.
anyway we have two active group chats for work.
No one really cares he quit, in fact we were all pretty happy,
we didn’t want to be mean. So we didn’t kick him out of chat, expecting him to just leave the chats now he left.
days passed. And not only did he not leave but he kept viewing every message all day for days straight after someone wrote it. It became creepy so my manger kicked him out of chats.
does he regret leaving. It seems he was stalking our chat MORE after he left.
does he secretly wish he didn’t quit and now has regrets?

Honestly, I think he was probably just snooping. I would do the same too if my manager hadn't kicked me out of the work chat after I quit. Sometimes you're just curious to see what's going on, but I can see why that would creep you out.
But wouldn’t you leave the chat voluntarily? Other colleagues once they chose to leave. They left the group chats pretty promptly. I found it weird we had to do it for him.
Why would you stay in?
Just to snoop, like I said. Just see how things went without me, if people cared or in case anything dramatic happened like an argument breaking out over text
Yea that makes sense.
So, are you sure this manager actually quit. If those are work chats then he would not have access to them. It sounds like corporate is allowing him to watch and make you feel like being stalked.
Not sure about regret, but if you think you are being stalked than talk to someone about it.
