At your job, how invested and interested are you in the corporate culture. Or put another way, how much do you "drink the corporate Koolaid?"

How well do you know and how much do you buy into the mission statements and values?

People that I know working for COVID company, major accounting firms, oil and gas, Big Green, Big Media, Big Christian, Big Finance, and Big Medicine appreciate the Big Corporate culture. They guzzle the Kool-Aid.

The International Standards as well as Numbers and Margins factors drive them. They work as if they were first 5 years self-employed building Business.

Everyone is Nasty and everyone else knows it so it is a level playing field. It’s highly stressful and the fire 🔥 is always lit up under one’s seat. Like this, “look to left, behind, and to the right of you…next year one of them will not be here.”

None of this 💩 about Purpose. Money, Results, Production, and Family provision is it, period. Appreciation in outstanding health, dental, retirement, 1 month vacation, occasional hockey, free gym for mental health purposes, baseball NASCAR soccer and football tickets and 30 per ticket for food are nice and more than should be expected. Kool-Aid all the way and not spilling one drop of it.

I worked for a big tech company and it was sort of like a cult. I went to a annual meeting and it really was like one of those holy roller things. After 9/11 half the office got laid off and a few months after that i got laid off. soi that was that.

I work for a medical supply company as a Systems Administrator. It is a nice place to work and the people are good to work with. There is really not much of a corporate culture but they alway have Fox News on in the lunch room so I supposed I am a good fit.

I only work at corporate for the special training, experience, teachings i can get from them. Once i become an expert, i take all their skills with me to open up my own business and acquire my own clients. Only losers would work for corporate their entire lives. Your career does not matter to anyone. You dont matter to your company. Your company won't remember you after you dedicate 30 years to working for them. Nobody cares how smart you are but yourself. You are worth nothing more than a dollar sign for the company. They dont care about your health. Theyre not your friends or family. They will run you over for an extra million.

Dont work for corporate. Just milk them of what you need before you leave

I don't really know how much "corporate culture" there is in an elementary school - not much I guess. There is the principal and vice principal who are basically our administrators, but not technically the boss if that makes sense. I can definitely relate to the crying girl email meme, LOL! I just finished doing report cards and for me, that's really the only time that administration hounds us at this school, because they have parents hounding them.

Do I uphold and model the values and mission of my school and the board? Absolutely.
