Oh geez... I've read that book too. I think the longest was some giant book about King Arthur and all of that. Mein Kompf was a long read. A collection of Plato was another long read. I've gone through many different holy books (I'm not religious though). It's hard to say... that King Arthur book was freaking huge. I think that one takes the cake. It was like two and a half bibles thick. It was dense text and wasn't broken up into verses. I can't remember the name of it though. Just a huge book.
I'm not sure. I read the Necronomicon but, I have no idea how long that it, anymore. A few years ago there was a huge book (I think the pages are 12 x 15 and there must bee over 300 pages in it) that was all about the history of Monty Python written BY members of the group, there was another book about the same size before that all about the history of Pink Floyd written by Nick Mason, their drummer. Another book of the same size was The Beatles "Anthology" but, I'm not so sure I read more than the first few pages, so far. And, there was the Chris Miller book "The Real Animal House" which was well over 300 pages. And, Bob McGrath's second edition of "R & B Indies" which is a 4 volume book, each one being the size of a phone book with about 700 pages, @. Although, it's not a reading book, it's reference book and I HAVE gone through it at least twice, so far. I also helped write it!! Hoohah!!
I'm not sure. As a single book, probably around 1200 pages. It's possible I've read longer books, but I can't think of any off the top of my head.
As a single continuous story broken into multiple books, Wheel of Time by Jordan is over 11K pages.
The Lord of the Rings book I got at 10 years old. Really thick due to having all the books along with extra stuff like timeline events.
Probably Meditations by Marcus Aurelius himself, it isn’t really a book but rather a collection of 12 books that were originally written in Hellenistic Greek. I like the philosophy of stoicism so the book attracted me towards it, i usually dislike books if they take longer then a hour to finish but i’m a little of history geek aswell so i wanted to really read it. Still read it time to time to get a little reality-check, it works.
The stand by Stephen king. Extended version so overall came to about 1400 pages I believe? Took me 2 solid months of intense reading to get through it
You should read the book! There are so many details that were left out of the movie. Really a great book 😁
Back in High School, I read The Rise and Fall of the Third Reich (over 1200 pages).
I have read most of the Christian Bible, which has more pages, but not cover to cover.
In Search of Lost Time. It was better than I was expecting; I hopped into it after finishing War and Peace, which may be why; Tolstoy freaking DRAGS that book out.
I read many novels but none were as bigger/longer as Oxford dictionary. So, I'd say dictionar, lol.
2000 pages, David The Builder
It was worth it. One of my favorite books of all time.
I tried to get through Jsames Joyce's Ulysses but it was too boring. I think maybe "The Singularity is near" by Ray Kurtzweil. The book was so long it took me 4 weeks to read it;
Stephen King's "IT." The page number is over 1,400. It's two parts though. Damn good book if you have the time.
I started on HG Wells History of the World a long time ago, but I was too young then and didn't have the patience. More recently, I have read the Bible - with a "Bible in a Year" plan- two times.
darn straight!!!
I have read the Bible my self cover to cover my self, so I won't mention that.. It would be the collected works of Terry goodkind, 20 books over 1k pages each..
Pillars of the Earth. It was pretty good. Read it while I was in high school.
I remember reading a Jules Verne book when I was an adolescent, I think it was about 600 pages.
