If you need your free time you need your free time. If you’re not really doing anything I can see that you could go in, but normally you need your rest and to recuperate working early in the morning and being in charge of all those kids. Then you can help the child the next day. And I doubt that it’s an emergency.
Right, I need my time to myself. She knew what she was getting into when she had that kid so it's just not my problem
If you are unable or unwilling to work overtime, it is important to communicate clearly and honestly with your supervisor. Explain your situation and why you cannot work overtime, or if there are other priorities, suggest them as well. Make sure you communicate in a respectful and understanding manner. Try to avoid unkind or emotional responses. If you can't work overtime but the project or task needs to be completed, suggest alternatives such as rearranging your work schedule, assigning it to another coworker, or offering other solutions.
I would tell her that you are needing those days off to rest
Just be honest and tell them you don't want to do it, ignoring is flake and can makes you look irresponsible
I dont care if she thinks I'm irresponsible. It's irresponsible of her to call me on my days off
It's not really irresponsible but Okay, whatever floats your boat
It is she can care for her own child or call the agency office. That's what a RESPONSIBLE parent would do. My boat floats correctly thank you
Okay it's not for you to get salty, my point is do whatever you please
I'm not salty I'm just saying she knows what she is supposed to do yet refuses to follow protocol. She's always been irresponsible. All 5 of her kids have different dads.
She never learns
Sucks for her I guess

I would answer and asked what is it about. If i didn't have any other plans, i would ask for a double rate on weekends and help her.
I would explain that you are off duty and you are busy doing other things and cannot work.
🤣🤣🤣
I love how assertive the men are. The girls are voting , " awww awww I'll help her." Like why should I help someone who doesn't respect my time? Screw that lady
I'd ask for more money
Yep, cause when I'm off I'm off. Her problems are not my problems. She chose to have that kid knowing the issues they would have.
