What is your job from hell story?

Well , I was going back from Thailand to Queensland and I thought , why be bored when I'm there , I will get a job ( didn't need the money , but thought it would fill my days for a while ) , I didn't care too much what I did , mindless or otherwise , I'm strong , I can do it right? It was just post Covid and there were no International students in Australia , just passport holders.
So , I got this job ( I ended up with 5 different jobs , but this was first ) with the glorious title of Dishwasher at parliament house ( State Government ) but there was a Federal election coming up , so the place was really being used , so first night its was 4pm - 10pm ( meant to be ) , some guy showed me around , yeah introduce and all that , everyone is nice , many Chefs and hospitality people , and of course there are really no dishes yet , quick run down on how to use the machine , and how it all works.
Now , what I didn't know , is that ( me - single ) was replacing 4 International students , who would not only be younger than me , but familiar with the process , first night was Thursday , a quiet night they said , only 3 functions only , and I had all these trainees there helping me , it was still full on - absolutely flat out , my back was breaking , steel cap shoes , but as a production line we made it work , I was fcked at the end of it , but thats okey , tough but I made it.
Then comes 2nd night ( afternoon ) , I'm looking.. Where are all my trainees? Nope , just you tough mate and it is busy , Friday night and a week prior to election , a whole pass of coffee cups I arrived too ( that okey , they are easy ) , and then Fck me BOOOOOOOMMMMMM , I got cooking sht , plates , coffee , everything coming it , I can't process the 2nd and 3rd parts , coz Im too busy with the fcken dishes , the hours are going I'm getting further and further behind a giant mass of dishes and already its 10pm , everybody starts to leave , my back is breaking , I got 5 hours work to finish , noone is offering help ( they all would be paid if they helped ) and then I'd have to do the filters and stuff , which I didn't really know how to do , the machine broke down , so someone said " You gotta process manually " -- That was the straw , I thought " Fck you mate , I dont have to do anything " .. I left a massive pile of dishes , hours of work ( but 4 people would help in the day staff ) got my sheet signed by security ( no one else there ) , left.. walked home in the dam rain , still 1am when I got home..
Immediately I texted the agency to say " I quit " , no more parliament house, no more dishes , Fck that.. So my career as a ' Professional dish washer " was over in 2 nights.
I went on to get 4 other jobs in Queensland , mainly in Sales , none of them were much good , but they certainly got progressively better , the last being back in Land development , my industry , but then I decided I'm far better off Sabai Sabai , in Thailand.
Sometimes , I was the dishers and laugh to myself " Professional dishwasher " , but had other strange jobs but this was the hardest , and I have great respect for anyone who does it full time , he ( agency ) must have been desperate , because he begged me to do one more week.
I applied for an engineering position at a local tech company. I was called by the owner who asked me if I would be interested in a job managing their technicians and engineers since I had considerable managerial skills. I really wanted a technical position but the money was good and it was a short commute. The boss seemed like a good guy so I accepted it.
The job was weird from the start. I would see people disappear and nobody talked about it. Apparently the people that I was responsible for was not used to doing their job. When I would ask them why a particular task was not completed they would complain to my boss.
My boss would put a meeting on my calendar and then not show up for it. I would spend an hour sitting by myself in the conference room.
It would take me an hour to schedule everyone for the day then I would have very little to do. I always had the feeling that I was being watched and I would not have been surprised if my internet usage was monitored.
After 7 weeks I was fired. They never really told my why and they even admitted that I showed up on time every day and I did everything they asked me to do.
I found a better job a week later.
While every job has challenges, I once worked for a company where the leadership lacked clear communication and direction. It created a chaotic environment, leading to high stress and low morale. It taught me the importance of effective leadership and communication skills. Understanding this has been crucial in my career development and education guidance.

Opposing counsel in Florida needed a huge editing job done same day and wanted physical media. Out of state so COD. All agreed upon, in writing. Jerk face refused to delivery because they settled during the night. No one wanted to sue an attorney out of state so I ended up eating the costs. Learned to require a deposit before starting the work.
Two words: fast food.
I'll leave to your imaginations what hell that line of work is
They wear ya down 👎🏻 any employer and customer , after a while it feels like, is anyone on my side lol , and no wonder people quit and burn out lol 😆😆😆😆
