Absolutely, women should study at university. Education empowers individuals, regardless of gender, by broadening horizons and opening opportunities. While social aspects are part of university life, the core purpose remains academic and personal development. My experience confirms that universities are places of learning, innovation, and self-discovery. Encouraging women to pursue higher education benefits them personally and contributes to societal progress.

Yes, women should absolutely have the opportunity to study at university if they choose to. Education is a fundamental right, and access to higher education empowers individuals, regardless of gender, to pursue their interests, develop skills, and contribute to society in meaningful ways. University education can open doors to better career opportunities, personal growth, and intellectual development, all of which benefit not only the individual but also their communities and the broader world.
Denying women the opportunity to study limits their potential and reinforces outdated gender roles. When women are educated, they gain the ability to make informed decisions about their lives, careers, and families, and they can become leaders in various fields, from science and technology to arts, business, and public policy. Moreover, educating women has been shown to have a positive ripple effect, improving the well-being of future generations, boosting economic development, and fostering more inclusive and equitable societies.
In short, there is no reason why women should not study at university. Access to education should be based on individual interest and ability, not on gender. Education is for everyone.12 Reply- 6 mo

If she wants to be a doctor, an engineer, an accountant, a scientist or a handful of other jobs that one really has to go to college. If it is to go to college just because it is pushed that everyone should go, no I don't.
I don't think all men or women should go. If you don't have a real plan and need college then just learn a trade and start working.
I think in the 50's or 60's it started being pushed that everyone should go to college. That is part of the reason it costs so much now, it is a money making scam. That is why colleges started making up all of these useless degrees. You graduate, you paid tons of money you have a diploma but then there isn't some high paying job.
Remember that Olympic scandal where Australia representative got a score of "0" for her breakdance. It said she had a degree in break dancing. What? A lot of the humanities are useless degrees.
If she is going just to go and has some useless degree; break dance, women's studies, gender studies, communications, art appreciation... etc. then no they shouldn't go.
They turn into party tramps, get ran through and go into debt and get indoctrinated to be little offended, woke, activists.
10 Reply How many feminist studies grads does society really need?
This is a serious question even though put jocularly.
With about 60% of HS female students going to college the bottom cohort will have an IQ of about 90. The male students will be about 105 at worst. The IQ bell curve is inescapable on this.
I think it is highly questionable that the degrees women seem to want to do are needed by society in such abundance. So long as it is not in anyway tax funded I don't care greatly so long as they don't whinge about not getting a job.10 Reply- 6 mo
I used to recommend pursuing top-of-the-line education from top-ranked universities & colleges but I've gotten turned off by their concerns to earn money instead of the goal to provide a good precursor to obtaining a better future.
Additionally, the political climate inside university/college campuses have become quite toxic.
Nevertheless, you can't beat the practical, in-person learning experiences you can't get from online courses.
10 Reply - Absolutely yes in my opinion.
- Attending parties at universities is absolutely normal.
- Nowadays most female athletes are graduated in academic institutions than men.
- Education is absolutely necessary for everyone in current time.
- No matter what religion belongs to.

OMG! This has been a battle in my household for years now!
No. The majority of the women I know have wasted vast amounts of time and money on a degree she ends up not needing or wanting. All to end up realizing her fulfillment comes from family and children. I truly believe we should stop sending our girls to college and start being honest with them about what will truly bring them happiness.
10 Reply Sure, why not? A lot of universities in Europe are attended by more women than men these days. There may still be certain faculties that attract more men than women though, but that is evolving too.

Why should they not go to universities they are as smart if not smarter than men. You study you learn you will go places. If you party or protest or go WOKE then you have wasted tens if not hundreds of thousands of dollars If SENILE JOE PASSES his canceling tuition then you are wasting MY tax money

When we see some countries limiting females education, we need to push back n motivated lady education if she wants.
She should but not force her.

Getting a university education is a path for a lot of women to build a better life for themselves, and in some cases even meet their husbands.
I don't see any reason that women wouldn't or shouldn't study at a university.

That's only up to the involved women to decide, and no one else. Her life, and her choices, the more she will have to face more difficulties than men.
12 Reply- 6 mo
But should she?
- 6 mo
@strateguy632 Only if she feels like and is able to manage. There's no obligation from her side as much as I'm aware of. No one should try to prevent realizing her choice either.

If they’re actually there to study and ignore that crowd. Same goes for men. Let the people who forgot what school is waste their money partying it out on their own.
Otherwise study online.
10 Reply They should take online courses instead because in person college has a lot of liberal influence and often ruin their morals.

It depends on what she wants to study. If she's choosing a worthless degree, no it's a waste of money. If she chooses something that will make money? Sure.

But you have these people racking up 100k + in student loan debt, and their degree is in gender studies, or some liberal arts bullshit. Neither of which get you salaries that are above the poverty line. So while granted I understand what you say, choosing a worthless degree is stupidity at best.

Sure, there are degrees that won't open many doors. When I was in high school, 95% of the guys in my class wanted to be engineers. That was the big hype back then. I chose a different route. I have no idea how many of them made it that far, but a degree in a particular subject - any subject - doesn't guarantee you'll ever work in that field.
I could have followed in the footsteps of my father, who had a small business. I had no interest in that, so I took a different route. Could I have been better off financially? Maybe yes, maybe no.
