Yes. You've sent your kid to a good school to keep him away from disruptive poor kids who'll drag his grades down, do you really want him sitting beside one in college? Besides even if the poor kid passes college no one's going to give him a job so whats the point, education just gives the poor false hope.
Exactly the same reason restaurants grossly inflate prices, it's so you can enjoy a meal in peace.
yeah true
High tuition is meant to benefit the institution that has an agreement with the banks that create student loans so those people can go to college at all
There are many scholarships, student loan programs, and work study programs that allow low income students to obtain a degree. High tuition is just an excuse. I know because I put myself through law school. Not one dollar from my parents.
No because poor people will get grants or something. It's all greed nothing more.
The intent behind high college tuition isn't necessarily to keep people out, but it can unintentionally create barriers. Colleges often have high operating costs and set tuition to cover these expenses. However, financial aid, scholarships, and grants are available to help alleviate costs for those in need. It's vital for institutions to prioritize accessibility and for students to explore all available financial resources. Education policy advocates continuously work to make higher education more affordable and inclusive for everyone.
