Not that it hasn’t been this way before, but I was basically told today that my employer will not pay more than what an entry level salary would be for college graduates, regardless of experience.

What is this world coming to? Whoever are running the show are literally creating a privileged and slave class. All because I didn’t care to completely buy into the education system. It’s so wack to me.

It takes a qualified engineer to ultimately sign off on anything that goes into production anyway, those types of things undergo a lot of iterations, tests and scrutiny, from a variety of types and levels of skilled workers. It’s not that simple.

Sounds like it is time to find a new job, best time to job hunt right now than I have ever seen.

My company pays college grads a higher starting wage but ultimately they hit the glass ceiling together, it will take someone without the degree a few extra years.

The best paying jobs right now in high demand are trades. I know a mechanic who can't even hire mechanics for $40 dollars an hour and has several open positions open. The reason is simply there isn't any and trades are quick, 18 months or less usually.

On the other hand, if only college educated get to work in the future, guess they'll get to pay to support the non educated because they simply won't be able to get a job.

Well it's simple really. The system benefits the highly skilled because the highly skilled benefit the system. If you don't have a valuable skill then you're easily replaced so there's no pressure to pay you above minimum wage because there's a thousand other people happy to take that salary

Not at all. There are many fantastic blue collar trades that pay just as well as traditional "college" jobs, and even pay better If you start your own trade business.
