Greatest Villains

Greatest Villains

A cruelly malicious person who is involved in or devoted to wickedness or crime; scoundrel. "

Hannibal Lecter, 'The Silence of the Lambs'

Greatest Villains

He has it all: the brawn, the brains (no pun intended) and the creepiness.

Darth Vader, 'Star Wars'

Greatest Villains

Everyone agrees - this is one father who's too dark to deserve the title.

The Queen, 'Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs'

Greatest Villains

The Queen - truly stops at nothing - and we wouldn't have it any other way.

Alex DeLarge, 'A Clockwork Orange'

Greatest Villains

When he's bored...bad things happen!

The Shark, 'Jaws'

Greatest Villains

Yup...not as premeditated as some of the other villains, but twice as deadly. xD

Buffalo Bill, 'The Silence of the Lambs'

Greatest Villains

Say what you will, but this guy is twice as creepy as Hannibal was... Hannibal was somewhat civil. This dude is just...creepy.

The Joker, 'Batman'

Greatest Villains

Nutty sweetness on the inside, colorful funness on the outside. Someone you'd want to party with for sure.

Voldemort, 'Harry Potter'

Greatest Villains

A serpent with a brilliant mind. You gotta respect anyone with so many henchmen.

Who are your favorite villains? ^-^

  • None of those people (or the shark) are truly evil. HL is a tortured soul scarred by horrific childhood experience. He kills people who remind him of the vicious bandits who ate his sister. Darth Vader is supposedly scarred as well, just reacting to the hurt like a wounded animal. Same with Voldemort and the Joker. Alex and Buffalo Bill are unhinged, at the mercy of hormonal imbalance and a miswired brain. In the original version of ACO, Alex simply grows older and stops wanting to hurt people. The queen in Snow White might truly be evil, she is not a sufficiently fleshed out character to say.

Evil is being deliberately against humanity or the best inclinations of humanity. When it happens it's usually very ordinary and unimpressive. Generally it takes the form of unapologetic selfishness or a systematic, conscious lack of empathy.

  • I do enjoy these movies, good list!

I'm not sure who my favorite villain is. But besides the ones you listed...

    Michael Meyers (Halloween)

Freddy Krueger (A Nightmare on Elm Street)

    Xenomorph (Alien)

    Pinhead (Hellraiser)

    John Doe (Se7en)

    are creepy and interesting villains.

  • The joker is definitely one of the most dangerous villains. He is a sociopath and that pretty much sums it up.

  • Voldemort is really creepey
