Chapter VIII The Taxi Girl Returns
This is actually a sequel of Chapter VII. In the last Chapter when Lucia left for her flight, Z grabbed one of the taxis which were stopped at the airport and the Taxi driver was nobody else than Eve from Chapter VI.
Z: What? Is it you? It’s been a while.
Eve: Yes. I noticed you on the airport. Who was this girl you were hugging with? Your girlfriend?
Z: Um…no, no. It’s too complicated, and I cannot explain now.
Eve: Well, OK. Are you going to see her soon?
Z: No, but why this sudden curiosity?
Eve: Ugh…nothing.
This time Z was staring from the taxi’s window instead of Eve’s legs as he used to, because he knows it was annoying for her. But…
Eve: You seem to be pretty gloomy. Is there anything wrong?
Z: Not at all, but to be honest I remember you were feeling annoyed when I was staring at your legs, so I was looking from the window instead.
Eve: Oh is that so?
Z: Um…oh well…
Eve arrived at Z’s destination.
Eve: Well here we are. You don’t need to pay. But please do me a favor and call me tonight. You have my number.
Z: OK sure!
As he did.
Z: Hey, it’s Z. Why you wanted me to call?
Eve: Well…I just broke-up with my boyfriend last week.
Z: (Now I see why she was behaving like that) Oh I see…
Eve: And…well…I’m single right now. If you don’t mind let’s go for a coffee once.
Z: (That’s really surprising coming from her) Sure, why not? Let’s go this Sunday.
Eve: OK see you on Sunday then! Bye!
Then Sunday arrived, and they met as they have arranged.
Eve: Hey I am glad that you came.
Z: Yeah sure, why shouldn’t I? I didn’t have anything else to do, so why not?
Eve: Huh…you seem to be a little uptight. You don’t have to, relax.
Z: I’m just trying to, because I’m not used to you being like that. To be honest you were colder before.
Eve: Haha, it’s because I wanted to tell you that I was taken by then, but now I’m not.
So they had their coffee…but they didn’t stay only there. Afterwards they went to a bar for a drink. Which means they both got drunk a little bit…
Eve: Umm…I don’t think I can drive. So guess we have to take another taxi.
Z: Why can’t we just walk? It would be better that way.
Eve: Haha, yes…we are not so far away from here, right?
Z: We? Do we live nearby?
Eve: Ah I didn’t tell you…you live about 5-10 minutes away from me.
Z: That’s cool, nice to know.
Eve: OK then let’s go.
On their way home, they were passing by a park. But since they were both drunk, they couldn’t walk for long, so they stopped at the park and sat on a bench.
Eve: *phew* I need to stop.
Z: Yeah me too.
Eve: We must be 10 minutes away from your home I guess.
Z: Yeah…but you are 20 minutes away…how can you go back on your own?
Eve: Umm…can I stay at your home?
Z: *gasp* That’s pretty sudden! But yes why not?
Next stop at Z’s home. Obviously they had sex. So next morning came, and hangover kicked in.
Eve: Oh shit, my head hurts. And where am I? Hey Z wake up!!!
Z: HUH! What happened?
Eve: How we are here?
Z: It’s my home. Last night you suggested me to come here.
Eve: Did I…damn I must have drank too much. Hope you don’t consider me a dirty slut.
Z: Of course not! Now what are you going to do?
Eve: I’m supposed to be at work now. Damn my head hurts. Guess I cannot drive today. I will call the taxi owner that I can’t.
As she did…
Eve: Ugh…could you please give me some coffee? I cannot get out of bed.
Z: Sure!
Z offers her some coffee.
Eve: Thanks!
Z: So how do you think spending your day?
Eve: If you don’t mind, please let me stay in bed.
Z: Of course I don’t!
Eve: Hey, sorry for getting you into trouble. Hope you don’t expect someone else.
Z: It’s OK, and no.
Eve: Cool…so now about you? What are you going to do?
Z: Guess I will stay with you…if you don’t mind as well.
Eve: Haha of course not…but let’s not drink this time.
Eve still had headache so she wasn’t in the mood of sex. She felt asleep a little bit later. As for Z he didn’t had any terrible headaches, and he wasn’t sleepy either.
Z: (Damn what I can do now? I have to spend my time somehow. I cannot go out and leave Eve here. Well guess that’s it. I will cook something for her.)
So Z decided to make a Cheese and Ham pie. After the pie was ready he decided to taste a little bit, and it was tasty indeed.
Z: (Good hope she will like it too. Well I think I will go to wake her up. Hope she won’t get angry.)
Z: Hey Eve…wake up, it’s noon already.
Eve: Huh…my head is still spinning. ..just a little bit more…
Z: Um OK…but do you feel hungry by the way?
Eve: Yes…a little bit.
Z: Well, when you were sleeping I made you some Cheese and Ham pie. Do you want to have a bite?
Eve: Really??? Thank you very much. Yes please.
Z brought some cheese and ham pie to her.
Eve: Oh very nice!
Z: Thank you! So do you feel better now?
Eve: Yes indeed!
Z: So what about today? What are you going to do for the rest of the day?
Eve: How about going for a walk at the park?
Z: Sure, let’s get ready!
Well, all good till now but on their way to the park they bumped into Eve’s strict father.
Eve’s dad: Eve what are you doing here!?
Eve: Ummm…
Eve’s dad: And who is this guy? Tell me!
Eve: Just a friend of mine.
Eve’s dad: You hold your friends by their hands? Do you think you can mock me? And you! Who do you think you are to hold my daughter’s hand?'
Z: Please! Please! Stop let me explain!
Eve’s dad: Disappear now from my sight, and if I ever see you with my daughter again I’ll beat the shit out of you. And you (grabs Eve by her ear) come home now.
Eve: Stop! You cannot control my life anymore! I’m an adult!
Z: (Damn I want to hit this bastard she has for a dad, but hitting her own dad in front of her, it would be too much. Better leave.)
Z left and went home. Since then he has visited Eve just as a client for her taxi. But it was good as long as it lasted!
