Since it's Halloween Night, I figured I would share some of the scariest movie scenes I've ever seen. Really quick, let me get some points across.
1. This list is in no particular order.
2. I'm not claiming these are the absolute scariest movie scenes in the 130+ years of film. I'm just just these are some of the scariest movie scenes I've ever seen.
Let's get terrified...shall we?
1. The Shining(1980)-The Bathroom Scene
The Shining will go down as one of the greatest horror movies of all time, and we have to give props to Stephen King for such a chilling novel. With that being said, out of every scary scene in this movie, this is the one that still creeps me out the most.
2. Nosferatu(1922)-Orlock Rises From His Coffin.
Let me guess...you hear of a silent horror movie from the 1920s, and you assume "well, it was scary for its time, but not these days." Take a look at this scene, and tell me what you think.
3. Insidious(2010)-The Window Scene
Forget about the Red-Faced Demon(AKA Him from The Powerpuff Girls), this was the scene that terrified me when I saw it in theaters.
4. The Exorcist(1973)-The "Spider-Walk" Scene
Before possessed by the devil movies became popular, this was the original disturbing movie based on demons possessing people. Some scenes are so scary, people refuse to even buy the movie. Check it out!
5. Se7en(1995)-The Victim of Sloth
This movie is actually a crime/suspense movie, but this scene has been considered uniquely disturbing for viewers-so bad, there were reportedly people who actually left the theater after they saw this scene. The movie focuses on the Christianity version of the Seven Deadly Sins...and sloth happens to be one of them...
6. Quarantine(2008)-The Ending
A classic found-footage film at this point, the ending was the freakiest part of the whole film. So, obviously spoiler:This will show you the ending to a movie.
7. The Fly(1986)-Birth Scene
This one creeps me out to this day, because it showcases a fear of the unknown. And if something can scare the medical field, it must be scary.
8. The Taking of Deborah Logan(2014)-The Cave Scene
This is one of the most demented things I've ever seen, and I'm still not even sure what the point of it was.
9. The House on Haunted Hill(1959)-The Ghost Scene
Back in the 1950s, haunted house movies were unheard of. This is a scene which still keeps people up at night.
10. Pet Sematary(1989)-The Legend of Zelda
No, not that Zelda...
Even though this list was in no particular order, this was by far the scariest scene I ever saw as a kid, and it still makes me think about it at night. This scene defined the ideal scary scene in movies, and the actor(yes, a man) who played this scene was phenomenal.
