Why I hate backstories in movies

Why do Hollyweird writers, producers, and directors insist on having backstories in movies that the general public is already aware of. Take movies like Superman, Batman, Spiderman, and X-Men, and it's not just superhero movies that do this, even movies like Nightmare On Elm Street and Friday The Thirteenth all have backstories. Highlander Endgame loaded with backstories. The audience is already aware of how the main hero or protagonist got his powers or abilities or where he is present day same with the villian of any movie so why do they feel the need to reiterate it for the 9unteenth time. If a person is going to see that particular movie odds are that person is already well familiar with the backstory so there is no need to go on and on about it when that alotted time for the movie could be used for a better script or something more useful to make a better story line. Take the new Ghostbusters coming out in 2020 i'll bet you it'll be plagued with tons of backstory that the audience is already highly aware of. Same with Robert Pattinson's new Batman movie coming out I'll bet you a million dollars it'll be plagued with lots of unneeded and unneccessary backstory to how Bruce Wayne became Batman rather than tell a new and interesting story one the fans never heard of before. If it's an original movie one that's never been done before then yeah I get it how a backstory would be neccessary to fill in any missing holes for any story plots taking place so the audience has a better idea and understanding of why certain events are happening in the movie. But if it's not an original movie leave the backstories out of it. Does anybody else agree on this?
