Bingo Hell, B-1 Hell of a crazy film

What would it cost you to be a big winner? What is your ultimate dream? What would you forsake for fantasy? These are the questions I ask after I watched a new Horror movie on Amazon prime called "Bingo Hell". Trust me when I say this is one of the craziest horror movies I've ever seen.

The movie is set in Oak Springs, a barrio suburb of New Orleans, Louisiana. The story follows Lupita, a 60 year old Mexican lady whom is upset over the gentrification and hipster youth in her community. Her other fellow senior residents hang on to the Bingo hall they have used for years. But one day a mysterious bingo hall opens up.

The hall promises to pay big money, but after it's residents win big they eventually die off in very creative ways. In one instance one of the winners eventually drinks quarts of motor oil and ultimately slices his wrists working on a car engine whilst being in a state of illusion after winning $100,000 drinking beer and trying to restore an old truck afterwards. Another death involves an ex heroin addict being given a hypodermic syringe by the films main antagonist, the bingo Hall owner "Mr Big" .

The cast is all unknowns, and made by the Blumhouse production company which makes kinda odd horror films. For a run time of 85 minutes it actually is very short. As a movie I give it a 3 out of 5. The actors are good in their roles, but the the death scenes are kinda way over the top. Imagine eating bingo balls in order to choke, that is just cheesy as fuck. Altogether the movie has a message about materialism, gentrification, and giving into vices and addiction. It's for sure worth a one time watch just to see what a wonderful mess this movie is.
