So I’m not one to care much about Hollywood and celebrities as some of you know. Most of that crap means nothing to me, but the feud between Blake Liar - excuse me, I mean Blake Lively - and Justin Baldoni has particularly caught my attention since it started late last year. Admittedly, I had never even heard of this guy Baldoni and was completely unaware of It Ends With Us or them being in it together. But when her claims of sexual harassment first came out I didn’t believe them for a minute, and everything I thought would follow ended up following.
Blake already has a bad track record
The truth is - and we all know it - that Blake Lively has not had a good image in recent years. She’s left a bad taste in people’s mouths in interviews, she was Ryan Reynolds’ mistress when he cheated on Scarlett Johansson, and she has pulled slimy shit like trying to take over Justin’s own It Ends With Us project. She knows extremely well that she is hated - and that bothers her - so she thought the only way she could try to redeem herself or get sympathy was to come up with a complete story that Baldoni sexually harassed her, talked shit about her weight, among a host of other things.

And in the beginning it worked. All kinds of people were coming out in support of Blake. Co-stars, friends, family, even the author of It Ends With Us herself, Colleen Hoover. Because once a woman in Hollywood “comes forward” with her stories of some kind of sexual misconduct towards her, it’s just normal for everyone else in the industry to be group-think and say they believe her. Otherwise they will get canceled and hated for being on the other side.
What a sad, pathetic thing that a woman has to use sexual abuse to try to get back into the good graces of the industry and be loved again by fans, instead of simply doing better and improving yourself and your people skills.
The calm before the storm
Meanwhile, as Blake and her hubby Ryan were enjoying a fiery start and mass support before New Years - even from Amber Heard (go figure), and everyone was ready to drop Justin, he was dead quiet. Which many people initially took as him trying to run and hide from the truth or figure out how to clean up a mess he was said to have made. Not me. I could already sense that his silence was a bombshell comeback in waiting. And that’s exactly what happened. In the days that followed, him and his lawyer filed suit against the New York Times and whipped out the evidence and showed how Blake tried to leave out details in text messages - what a lot of women do to try to make themselves look innocent in situations with men - and showed the real truth in those messages.

After that it was then Blake and Ryan’s turn to go quiet because they knew she got caught in a lie, and they needed to scramble to recover. Justin set her tail on fire and she’s been jumping all around trying to put it out and fight back. I even liked his voice messages and how he revealed that him and his family and friends all got put down in the basement at the New York premiere of It Ends With Us because Blake Liar threatened to boycott the premiere if he showed up.
Blake is a Liar and her ship is sinking
I’m going to keep this real as a lot of you know I always do, whether it’s pretty to hear or not: Blake Lively is another famous blonde white woman who figures she can do and say what she wants and she will be victorious. When she first came out with this whole thing against Justin, she was running on a campaign of how women experience unseen and unknown sexual abuse at the hands of men in the industry - which is true. But Hollywood women humor me with these MeToo-esque publicity stunts, because half of them have seen or known about other women’s experiences with sexual harassment or abuse, and yet stayed quiet or were even against some of those women themselves. But now because she “comes forward” it becomes a campaign of trying to fight for all women when it’s really just for her own benefit.

The truth is that no one likes Blake Liar, including many women who have watched her shows and movies. She is bothered by this and doesn’t admit it. But her need to stir up trouble to get love reveals it. I don’t know much about Justin Baldoni, and I’m sure he probably has said or done some things here and there that weren’t great, but I don’t buy Blake’s whole argument against him. So now she faces not only a counter suit from him but a lawsuit from a PR firm in Texas who alleges defamation from her also. And on top of it, her own blonde buddy Taylor Swift isn’t feeling so good in the situation anymore either, saying she feels used.
In a major attempt at trying to destroy one man, Blake has ended up hurting her own image even more. And there are people who don't give a shit about her or Ryan being “powerful” in Hollywood. The truth is always stronger than an image of might.
Let this be a lesson
I think we are in times now where people are beginning to fall for smear campaigns against a guy’s name less and less. Or at least they are re-examining situations before going all in and saying he is guilty. If women would learn to stop being so adversarial - and that includes Blake - and desperate to be vindictive with people and win a battle against them - even with other women, then shit wouldn’t blow up in their face like it does. Learn to admit that you were wrong and simply do better from there. Don’t march on in pride that makes you look foolish, or try to get other people on your side against someone because you know you were wrong in a situation. Just make it right, and your conscience will be so much lighter.

I have no idea where this case is going with either Justin or Blake. Either someone is going to get sued, or there will be a settlement. Either way, I think Blake only made things a lot worse for herself and ruined any chances of her getting back into a good image in Hollywood. Justin’s image is also probably tarnished, but I think there is a better chance for him to bounce back at some point than Blake. Hopefully all this is a major life lesson for her that will result in self-improvement.
