Who else is traumatized by the 13 Reasons Why mop scene?

It was so unnecessary to show the details. A lot of viewers, especially the younger ones, are scarred by this. Yes I know it’s a real issue that people go through and that it’s horrific, but I still don’t think they should’ve shown it. I almost puked & I had a panic attack at how horrific it was (for those if you who didn’t watch, basically a guy repeatedly smashed another guys head into the toilet bowl, grabbed a mop, got his friends to hold the boy down, covered his mouth so he couldn’t scream and sodomized him (inserted it into his asshole) with a broken mop, and pushed in and out as hard as he could. At the end of the scene, the boy is bleeding heavily and crying.) At the same time, I don’t think the show should be cancelled. What do you guys think?

I was way more traumatized of the gun scenes to be honest, wasn't able to watch without covering my eyes. I just hope that the next season won't have actual shootings in it.

Naw I wasn't... It was unexpected though.. And did disturb me a bit at the brutality of the scene.. I hope they get ol boy for doin that.. LOL..

Yeah, I can see why you couldn't.. I thought about it a lot too... But I've watched showed wit graphic rapes scenes, so even thought it disturbed me, it's nothin I ain't seen before..

Well I don't watch the show but I know the premise. Maybe their just trying to keep upping the shock value cause that's all they got at this point

Honestly, the actor of the guy who gets raped should win an Oscar. Amazing acting skills. However, I’m still traumatized

there’s 13 year olds watching it, and the viewer discretion did NOT prepare people for that scene especially
