Think of like an action movie where a man has to rescue a woman its a woman who has to rescue a man. She has to beat the bad guy (or girl) who kidnapped him.

The closest thing to that scenario in a video game is Resident Evil Revelations. In the first level you play as Jill Valentine in a mission to rescue Chris Redfield who has been presumably captured on a ship, only to find out he wasn’t captured but instead got secretly sent on a separate mission.
There are actually many movies we’ve all watched where the woman rescues the man.
In the first Matrix movie the main female character tries to prevent the main male character from being captured by the villains at the beginning.
In the Hunger Games, Katniss technically rescues Peeta or at least plays a role in rescuing him.
Manlets are always cringe worthy. Face it, throughout history the role of the man is the protector and provider saying this is not true is like saying water is not wet, leopards have no spots and gravity is a conspiracy theory. Unfortunately society has begun to blend gender roles into a thousand other renditions and we have circus freaks walking the Earth. To have a manlet in distress high up in a castle crying like a little bitch to be saved by a delicate damsel is pathetic if not comedic.
Yeah and I like the idea. A lot of movies the man is proving his love for the woman. When the woman can prove it back? It's extra powerful if she did that because in general we are hotwired a bit differently so she'd be overcoming an extra biological hurtle for him. That would be a powerfulove indeed! ❤️
I usually play a female character if it's available, like in Resident Evil 2. But to be transparent it's mostly motivated by: If I'm going to spend hours looking at a backside, I prefer that backside to be female. It's just a more pleasing form.

by the way, did you ever play a game for Dreamcast called Urban Chaos... that's one game I didn't finish and I've never looked up the ending, it's a female lead one
Games? That is really hard question, if it is immersive game where you role play to some degree... no I will mostly not play that game. Is it without it? Yes I would - Take Dishonored 2, you can play as woman, it is good game and there are so many of them.
Movies? I do not care. I watched many that were like that and even if most of them are not as good as man rescuing woman, I do not care about the sex of those actors.
Kind of boring. I mean I've seen the whole storyline countless times.
Why can't I just watch a show about a man who's submissive to his wife. Sounds better. And still meets what you're looking for.
Saving him many times in a day by reminding him not to forget soccer practice errands and doing house chores. What a heroic woman to constantly belittle and remind her husband 😃

I mean! You can do it in many many games now days, specially where you can create your own character. Moab, RPG, FPS and many other games you have the choice between few characters where there is females too.
If she is a normal person it would be highly unbelievable and not enjoyable. If she had superpowers like Buffy the Vampire Slayer so it could be believable in that made up setting then it could be enjoyable.
It's been done. The original movie version of Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
It didn't work then because of how they were forced to play it. If it had been done the way the series was then it's likely the TV show wouldn't have happened
Nikita is exactly like that. Nothing evil in a woman rescuing a man. The bible refers to it as a new thing in Jer31:22. And the new is always better than the old.
