I have a contract to create two pieces of abstract sculpture for a large new building in the city where I live. The building has one public entrance and one public exit, and the sculptures will be placed so that people exiting and entering will, only if they want, easily encounter them.

Each sculpture will have many very tiny cameras and microphones that are not readily visible and will interact with people who begin talking to them or touching them for at least one minute or longer. The sculptures will be connected to underground computers in a vault running high-level AI software via fiber. People can interact with the sculptures but have to initially make a choice to do so, and can stop at any time.

The sculptures also have video output and olfactory capabilities (beach smell, forest, mountains, etc) that can be accompanied by appropriate music. Finally, the sculptures themselves can change shape from day to day or randomly to provide different and unique visual experiences, within reason.

The goals are aesthetic satisfaction, the promotion of peace and tranquility in users, and the ability to engage and fascinate people.

I am in the programming and design phase of this project. I hope others at least like the concept.
