It might be Sage Vaughn.
Initially his stuff can seem sweet. But there are dark elements too.
This one is not particularly dark, but he likes to drip paint, which certainly adds an element. And a lot of his scenes have commercial, gritty, elements in the bkgd, which stop them from being too saccharine.

I mever understood art. Maybe because there's no clear meaning, explaination it feels up to interpretation.. maybe that's part of the charm. Meaning is the jumper you have to knit yourself and eyes of the beholder..

for his incredibly life-like & realistic portraits:
https://crazyaboutmyownlegsandfeet.tumblr.com/image/159391005393Painter? I'm actually partial to Van Gogh. Not because he's famous or renowned. I remember seeing pictures of some of his works before I knew anything about him, and they sort of spoke to me. But artist? I'm very fond of Ansel Adams. Also Steve McCurry of National Geographic. daVinci is hard to overlook as well. I don't know. With so much good stuff out there, I find it impossible to pick a single "favorite"
As an artist myself, I like not so famous artists
K. Brati (ebay)
And a guy I met online but his whole name is in Cyrillic, I know him just as Vladko, from deepest Russia... makes surrealism with oil mix techniques
And of course, my own workRaphael. Although he was not a genius the likes of Leonardo (few could be), or brilliant (and eccentric) like Michelangelo, I feel Raphael's works were balanced, graceful and demonstrated a certain artful restraint.
Maybe biased because he's a local but always loved Markus Åkesson.
Favourite painting "Le Passage" by Kay Sage. Her emotions are transparent and honest so you can feel what she felt when painting it.I have a lot of paintings in my apartment. I have two Edgar Degas paintings in my Office. My favorite is "Dancers" and another one is L'intérieur (Le Viol), I don't want to use the English title.
I recently saw someone who done paintings of 16th century ships, my god the detail was outstanding! I cannot remeber the name of the painter, a work colleague shown this to me!
Between Van Gogh and Salvador Dali.
But for all the art bandwagons to take note; Bob Ross is the Boss.I like a lot of fantasy art but I donât know the names of the painters
Only because I did a project on his life and work in 5th grade, Marc Chagall
Bob Ross is absolute favorite, his son Steve and friend Dana Jester also are really talented painters...
