Specifically painters.
Currently I really enjoy the American Landscape painters Thomas Cole and Frédéric Edwin Church.
Church's paintings were environmentally correct, meaning the foliage he painted were retrospective to what he saw in nature. Church was far more detailed oriented then Cole, but you can see the influence that Cole had on Church, which makes sense because Cole was Church's teacher for two years from 1846 - 1848.
Although Church's paintings were magnificent, his greatest art work was his estate in Olana, New York.
If you are interested in other American Landscape painters of that time, you can search the Hudson River School.
I also enjoy the works of another American artist Fitz Hugh Lane. He primarily painted seascapes.
I really like Canadian artist William Kurelek as well. The Maze is a great painting by him. I also enjoy The Tower of Babel.

I love squid. licker on Instagram. Their murals are amazing. I enjoy more modern art styles rather than old styles like renaissance.
I really like Frank Morrison a lot. He’s like Norman Rockwell for the city👍👍 I don’t know, I just get a warm, fuzzy feeling from his work, lmao. Softest thing I’ll say all day😂
@WhiteSteve
Much appreciated, thank you for sharing. I got something new to look into.
Giovanni Bragolin
He created the famous painting of the crying boy.
It made me collects painting of crying children.
Another good example is Margaret Keane.
She's known for children with weirdly big eyes also crying.
I get a feeling of wanting to protect them.
So when I buy one it gives me the weird though that I've saved them and that they now have a home on my walls.
I don't really understand it either.
@Zenpanda
Thank you for sharing, I will be sure to check both of those artists out.
