For me, it was Jaws. A shark shows up, a girl gets eaten, and a town freaks out. O... kay?

Everything I've seen with Woody Allen either acting or directing, except for Antz.
I refused to finish watching Annie Hall, Stardust Memories, Zelig, The Purple Rose of Cairo, Midnight in Paris, and The Curse of the Jade Scorpion, among others.
I seriously tried watching his movies, pretty much the entire Woody Allen collection, and I just could not stand it, instantly felt like a waste of my life. Not saying that the movies were bad, they just did not connect with me at all.
Although, the jury's still out on New York Stories, and Deconstructing Harry. I will give those a real shot in the future, as those movies clicked something in me.
The only jaws i enjoyed were 3 (Aquarium) and 4 (Jamaica). I couldnt get into the first 2 Alien films nor Dances with Wolves. Man its so many i could list
Psychological Thrillers: The Good, Not So Bad, And Ugly
Mine was jarasic park. Yeah so many questions about security not answered and how they had all this intelligence to create and bring back life from the past but no understanding of what each and eventually almost every one of the dinosaurs was cabale of 😂 like an oh shit moment you mean the huge jawed dino can break steal by bighting it when animals 1/5 its size can. 😂😂😂 Oh run with all these meat eating hungry predictors no need to build a secure facility for our human guess 😂😊😂 then where are the guns the many many guns that should be every where.
This really bummed me out because I used to love these movies, but I can't get into anything Starwars. I used to love the Starwars fanchise when I was super young, but then I started paying attention to what's happening in the story and it's actually really poorly written.
I'd like them better if I could find the original undoctored versions.
If it were just the OT, I'd argue more strongly. But with the over-expanded franchise that it's become (and the fact that Kathleen Kennedy is hellbent on destroying it), I can see where you're coming from.
As a filmmaker myself, there are definitely stylistic choices that I can understand and appreciate about the OT. There's a definite storytelling benefit to making audiences start hearing a story mid-conflict. I don't think I agree with the choices they made, but I can appreciate them nonetheless.

The Shining. Iβve tried to watch it several times but itβs so damn boring, I canβt finish it
same
I do not know if Scarface qualifies but I had to walk out if the theater halfway through the movie. It was the only time I did that.
I've done that twice. What was so bad about it?
Pulp Fiction and the majority of Tarantino's movies
Agreed. I think his movies are overhyped big time.
Fight club, God father and pretty much any superhero movie
ModFather? Heh π
Superhero movies were coop 15 years ago. I'm all burned out from them.
*cool
What was truly sad about the movie was the bad rep sharks got and so people would kill sharks so many of them that they had to protect the great white and a lot of other sharks i would think speilberg would feel like a piece if shit after that the book was not even about a great white shark it was a bull shark i agree that movie should not exsist
I can only guess what you mean by "essential' but, I've only seen the first 2 Star Wars movies. There's a LOT of big money movies I've never seen!! Apocalypse Now, Citizen Kane, Gone With The Wind, The Grapes Of Wrath, Casablanca, Dial M For Murder, Batman, The Wild Ones, The Godfather, Rocky, A Streetcar Named Desire, etc.. I have yet to have anybody tell me what's so great about them that I SHOULD watch them. Maybe, someday, I'll watch a few of them just to see what all the fuss was about.
Resivoir dogs
It was boring, overly expositinal and dragged on.
People act like it's a masterpiece but it's literally the most boring part of a bank heist with almost no context and the characters weren't that interesting
Applies equally to any Tarantino masterpiece.
Jango Unchained.
Some of Tarantino's movies I like but most suck. While most people I know agree on the ones that are good, and the ones that suck. We are clearly divided on this one. I really do not get for the life of me what anyone likes about this movie. It's God awful dreck to me.
The Godfather
The Matrix trilogy
The first Matrix movie is good. Don't care about the others. I've heard Resurrections is trash.
The Color of Money.
I cannot make sense of this whole βhustlingβ concept or why a whole group of people would involve themselves in it. 😵β💫
The Godfather. Twice I tried to watch it. I couldn't get past the first hour without being so bored that I turned it off.
Jurassic Park and Jurassic World.
Everything after the original Jurassic Park is trash. Especially the World movies. Fallen Kingdom is the absolute worst.
I know! I donβt even want to watch the third.
The Star Wars/trek series
Why not?
Lord of the fucking rings 🙄 and honestly itβs overrated
https://www.youtube.com/embed/8d_oSWH4pMQThis took me out🤣🤣🤣
Citizen Kane. I just don't get it. Did you know Citizen Kane was a flop at the box office? It was the critics who kept the movie alive.
You didn't like Jaws? I love Jaws!
Scarface
Ell oh ell! I was torn between Scarface & The Godfather.
Never seen Scarface.
Well, it is one of those βessentialβ movies so iβd like to recommend it. Just canβt. Ell oh ell! If you liked The Godfather, though, youβll probably like it.
starwars, literally nothing makes sense
I couldnt get into the 70s/80s. The 90s one was okay. The early 2000s was truly intriguing. The late 2010+ had a few good ones but Rogue One was boring and Force Awakens was meh
Hayden was cute af minus that little uglass braid he was rockin
https://i.gifer.com/SOOB.gif
His smile distracts me from that uglass braid π reminds me of the little fugly turtle tail dudes wear in the back of their head
Several. Gone with the Wind is one.
Harry Potter and the Lord of the rings
Titanic
I just never got into the Dune Series
Mulan.
Harry Potter crap.
Halloween
