Ok so in earlier episode he actually had a bunch of human emotions like anger, jealousy, rage.

Nowadays he’s just always happy, it’s like they made him brainless, anyone notice that?

Yea. I think most of that is because the original creator of spongebob left the show after they made the movie and it slips down hill for a little. Then he came back and things got back on track for a bit but then he passed way If I recall and the show is slipping again

The older episodes will forever be the better ones. Like from the time range of 1999-2008. It was more creative. It's true SpongeBob is basically a brainless being now

One-dimensional characters are all the entertainment industry big names know how to work with anymore. I don't and never have watched SpongeBob but I've seen that exact same pattern pan out in pretty much every TV or movie series particularly in the last 5 years.
