It can be board game, online game or party game you like to play with friends or family! It can be any game! I’d like to know what your favorite games are to play!
This is a good question and I don't exactly have an answer because it may change over time.
That said, when I was 16, the Atari video game "Asteroids" came out. This was at the dawn of "The Golden Age of Video Games" in which kids went to arcades, malls, or other public places and played on physical video game machines, like pinball machines.
My cousin Jim who was 9 years older than me, took me to a Nathan's which had a large arcade and I watched him play Asteroids. As we rode back to my house, whenever I closed my eyes, I'd see asteroids coming at me. Soon, I discovered Asteroids machines near my home, like the diner. Late at night in the summer of 1980, I might run to the diner and just watch other guys play the game. I was awestruck to see this one guy get 38,000-something. I'd spend whatever few quarters I had and play.
I wasn't good at first; I struggled to even get past 10,000 when is when you'd get an extra life. But I did get better and my goal was to "turn over the machine" which means to get at least 100,000; the game designers never assumed people could get to 100,000 so the score shown was only 5 digits.
Well, the day I finally broke 100,000, I actually broke 200,000.
I did have a small job that helped pay for all this and I bought my uncle's car when I was 18, so I'd go when I can. One thing I did was ask my mom if we needed milk or something from the supermarket. If she said "yes", I'd go and play Asteroids for an hour and then come home with the milk.
Eventually, I became very good. My lifetime high score which I think I got in 1981 was 1,239,870. I was 130 points away from a free life. I turned over the machine 12 times and it took me about 3.5 hours to play.
Notice on the Asteroids control panel: Left-to-right: Rotate Left, Rotate Right, Hyperspace, Thrust, Fire. This would establish a standard in many video game consoles.
========The Golden Age of Video Games was a magic time and I feel really bad for anyone here under 50 who didn't really experience it but grew up with home video game consoles. It's just not the same...
Back during the 1980s, the early home systems weren't common and they sucked because the controls weren't dedicated to the game, unlike cabinet video games in arcades. In fact, I was excited when Atari's system finally came out and they released Asteroids. I played it at someone's home and it sucked! The graphics sucked and the controls were much worse! I was an experienced professional at Asteroids at arcades and using home system was like being transported back to caveman times. That had such an effect on me that I NEVER have bought a video game system for the home.
I do play games on my computer or phone, but never any of those MMOGs or any of that shit. I generally like to play solitary games or play computerized opponents.

If talking board games Splendor for sure it hits that spot of simple to learn but how to win is a bit complex then Resident Evil's deckbuilder I really want it so bad because it's one of the best games but it's about 150 so no way I am buying it.
I played it at a store that allows you to play such games free of charge. Again it's fairly simple but complex enough.
I love games that are about getting resources to improve your strategy then a bit of randomness.
Then there is Navia Dratp which I need to buy again at some point. I had it as a kid but ya lost pieces and etc. It's only 25 on ebay so not to bad plus I didn't know about the expansions that look cool.
This game simply is just Chess but with a twist. Every piece has it's own unique movements and they can be upgraded once upgraded you flip a little piece on them to reveal there new better move set. The fact it shows the move set on every piece like this makes it easy to follow along with just a really cool idea.
And all the pieces look super cool been a dragon or a demon of sorts.
Then trading card games like MTG and Yugioh (Though I don't like yugioh no more outside of they still look cool) then there is the online side of these such as Hearthstone and Legends of Runeterra.
Then computer games wise Overwatch, Rogue Company are my favourite online shooters. Life is strange and Telltale games such as Walking dead or Wolf amongst us are really good choice narrative games.
I love the Tomb Raider's new line of games. I love Control and Alan wake both in the same universe.
Then of course going from them been sorta dark to proper horror games I like Resident evil of course but have strong negative opinions on some of them since I don't find they capture Re as it should be such as Re8 and 7 though 7 did have the Dlc with chris which was alright. And I don't like Re4 that was basically ruined all Re games to say everyone else loves praising it.
Silent hill I like every single one even with the obvious bad things that came to the ones after the 3rd game.
Then there is a lot other horror games that have a place in my heart hell ones I ain't even played but know they are great just by watching retrospectives on them.
Oh yeah Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice is one I almost forgot to mention it's one of the best games by far. Most of the game is just walking but the fighting parts are amazing and sure some puzzles are a bit annoying. But the story is great and I love norse shit.

Here are a few games, I loved playing as a kid. And I’ve still got them today in their original boxes, in my attic.
Is this singular or plural? I have more than one. A classic three, that I would alternate, every now and then.
Never played anything else.
In fairness to choose one ☝️
I’ll mention Mario Kart 7 on the original Nintendo DS. Was a classic favorite I played, nonstop as a kid.
Scrabble, Words with Friends, “Wheel of Fortune” and the like. I play them quite a lot. I also like “Scene It” a lot, despite having only played a couple of times.
The only games I play are console games, I play them alone as I hate playing with people and my favourite right now would have to be Uncharted 4.
Monopoly, Ludo and Uno.
The Sims!
Rugby league.
Axis and Allies
