+1 yIK that this will be the most hated comment ever. n** comes from Latin root as in niger which means black. And they genrally don't hate being call nigga which is really dumb if the other is SOOOO offensive. And they act like they can call white people Cracker which also does not make since either. And n-word passes prove that it ain't that big of a deal

Yeah, the word "Niger" comes from Latin. And Kaffir comes from the Arabic word "Kaffir" which means "non-believer" or "infidel". The word "Cafri" which was originally used to describe non-Islamic negroes, is still used in many Islamic countries as the word to refer to black people. And in parts of Europe, "Neeger" is the regular word they use to refer to black people, and no one sees any negative connotation with it.

+1 yA great question about "mind poison". How can we poison the minds of millions of humans... I know... words! more on that...
that's frightening to watch, the scene of it...
I don't know, some non black people associate with the term, so should be ok.. what about the women trafficed by black people throughout history and now even, what about irish slaves, what about white slaves in africa? They feel like that right... controlled and worthless? maybe people need government approved licenses to use the word if they are non black? Then put the $ into college funds to help people get out of that. but anyways...
it's really messed up, and fixing messes is hard. So I respect the man in charge with the microphone, his feelings, and his show, and that's that! Case by case basis. So I would thank him for his time and opportunity, respect the man, and leave the stage.
For me, I just avoid using the word, and I avoid rap since it's littered with such mind garbage emotional programming crap, and I avoid a lot of other music emotional programming as well... it's not my rhythm nor do I like it... and it avoids the problem for me. To me... rap, and the "N... a" word is mind poison. Why... because words are "energy"... vibatations, and it's a bad one. There is no good association with that word and projecting it onto children and programmable teens is child abuse.
You gotta protect yourself and your children. Read your Bible and you can see with better eyes... maybe. Read about human emotions and how we function, then try to figure out how to help all these people climb out of the hole they fell into.
I'd erase the word from the vocabulary and move on, but regard those whove been abused by it.
00 Reply Everyone in America is allowed to say what they want.
But it is a racial slur. So backlash will come from it and if you don't like the backlash don't say it.
But never understood the obsession white people have with the word.
I never see questions about the other racial slurs or ethnic slurs used for other races.
I know for a fact there are italian slurs that would get a non italian beat for saying but italians use them to describe themselves all the time.
Irish, does it to. Asians do it too.
But as always the word on everyone's mind is the one black people use.
So why are we not allowed to treat our racial slurs like other races and nationalites without everyone getting mad?

Asker+1 yWell it’s because I’ve heard white people get called the C word and that’s okay?
- +1 y
No it's not.
There are ignorant people of all races and it is not acceptable to use racist slurs against anyone especially if their race is different.
But again why is it so important to white people to use a racial slur about black people.
And why is there no outrage against other races and ethnicities that do the samething?
Asker+1 yWhy is there no outrage for whites that get called the C word?
Asker+1 yIt is important because we want to be able to use the n word in the context it’s used today. It’s more about the concept of the word because we listen to rap music also. Rap music is actually Americas favorite genre of music now. It isn’t country.
Asker+1 yThe n word doesn’t mean what it used to anymore. It’s lost it’s meaning. It now means “homie or dawg or brother”
But when the C word is used, it is more often used as a slur than the N word is used today.
Asker+1 yI’m actually saying this as a black man but my girlfriend is white. I let her use the n word when we listen to rap music. I gave her the okay but she says she would never use it in public. That’s got to change.
- +1 y
Naw it doesn't have to change.
And the c word a lot of people don't even know what it means.
I never even heard it used until I was on this site, and someone broke down the origins of that word.
Most racial only the people of that race uses them. And other races never worry about them
Execpt one. The one every single race is obsessed about.
Even many black people don't use it any more.
We replaced it with ninja or this emoji🥷🏾
Asker+1 yYes but if they are apart of the culture like if they are dating black then they should be allowed to say it. My girlfriend is whiter than white. Pale but I let her say it because she more identifies with black culture than her own
Personally, I don't at all mind not saying it. But I don't like the walking on eggshells feeling. My little brother was mouthing along to a rap in the car the other day, he just mouthed the word, and on instinct, I freaked out and looked around for anyone who could have overheard, lol, even though all the doors and windows were shut.

+1 yContinues to be the weirdest question in the history of the forum.
The n-word has been used here by "White" people. Who is preventing "White" people from using the word.
There are Oscar winning films with the n-word in them. I don't get it.

+1 yWho or what is going to do the "allowing"? God or some other supreme being who comes out of the sky? People can say what they want, when they want. And if it's at some silly concert where a certain supposed racial slur figures prominently in the lyrics of several songs, but customers paid $$$$ to attend, then at the point the customer is always right regardless of their skin color to sing-along. in my opinion 🤑💲💲💲💲💲💲

+1 yThey don't have a patent on that word. And if they don't want White people saying it, they shouldn't include it in their lyrics. Either EVERYONE can say it, or no one can. Plus there's a huge difference between saying it to insult someone and simply quoting something. And usually the lyrics contain the A and not the ER, which makes a huge difference.

+1 yThe silliness of the N word borders on absurdity. We pretend it's so offensive to black people, but then it's laced into every ounce of black culture, from music, to literature, to television. If it is so offensive, why are so many people allowed to say it? Why is it so prevalent in our media? It is racist to refuse to hold one race of people to the same standard that you hold everyone else. Either it's ok to say the word, or it isn't.

Everyone has freedom of speech in America. People can say whatever the hell they want. If you don't like it, go smoke some crack or something to deal with your low self esteem.

+1 yNo. Because that's a word that was used by white people who enslaved Africans and treated them lower than a dog. It a hate filled and dehumanizing word. No one but Africans should ever use the word. I don't and never will.
