So many are up in arms that JDF most likely won't be the Green Ranger in the 30th anniversary Power Rangers special. Obviously, since he's dead.

But no Tommy creates an even bigger fan service opportunity. With some quick writing "a friend of Tommy's" can take over the mantle. This new Green Ranger can then be played by none other than Shiro Izumi, who played Burai in Zyuranger, and knows his way around the Dragon Ranger suit better than anyone.

Imagine what a tribute it is, if you can't finish the race, but your Japanese predecessor jumps in one last time to do it on your behalf?

Perhaps I should ask the Japanese if they'd like that. Some of them consider the Burai arc to be the saving grace for Zyuranger, as some of Bandora's antics of silliness in that show, which weren't translated to Rita because they were too silly, make even the cheesy Bulk and Skull sketches look tame on the cringe meter.

Japanese can't fathom why the US is so fascinated with adapting Zyuranger, when they consider it one of the least interesting Super Sentai seasons. This was their reaction to the 2017 film as well: "Why would anyone spend $101M to make Zyuranger look better?"
