The handmaid's tale by Margaret Atwood is an excellent read. The story is about religion taking over government and they take all the females that committed adultery and made them handmaids, which basically they are made into slaves.
Once a month, the handmaids have to have sex with the Commanders, so they can get pregnant because it's hard for females to conceive a child because of all the pollution. And when the commanders have sex with the handmaids, the wife has to be in the room with them. I think there's a tv series out now too. The book was written in1985.
Dystopian fiction is usually what they call these types of novels. One of the most original and well though out novels I've ever read.
1984.
Orwell.
Harry Potter and The Sherlock Holmes series!! Because they're just as good to read as we were kids as they're now and I'm sure I'll enjoy reading them again even when I become elderly. 😁
Or maybe The Timeline by Michael Crichton? But then again not everyone's into suspense, thriller and Sci-fi so maybe they won't enjoy this book.

I have read a few hundreds of books, starting from Homer ending with modern writers.
I have been amazed by a lot of them in different ways.
However, there was one simple book, that made me feel more humanly , more empathetic and kinder to the rest of the world and that one was
“Flowers For Algernon”
'The power of Subconscious mind' by Dr. Josheph Murphy

'How to win friends and influence people' by Dale Carnegie

I can list way many self heal books if you want me to. But these are the most important ones in my opinion.
Even though it is likely in large part fictional, Rich Dad, Poor Dad is what got me started on acquiring rental properties and planning upon getting to the point where my passive income exceed by a large amount my expenses. Not there yet.
If that is not of general enough interest, then Esther Vilar's The Manipulated Man.
Hitler - ''Mein Kampf''
and
Ford - ''the International Jew''
not for political indoctrination, but to figure out how filthy and predictable mankind is...
(addressing all ''sides'' here :) )
I’m currently reading “The Boy In The Striped Pyjamas”. It’s about the holocaust, set in Poland. I’m loving it so far! Will update when I finish reading.
How to Win Friends and Influence People.
by Dale Carnegie
I think it should be obligatory school lecture in my country, not this nationalistic BS from 18th and 19th century like it is now.
The Slient Patient - Alex Michaelides
The best psychological-thiller I've ever read. The ending will leave you shocked. I loved every aspect of this book.

***My Published Play. Stupendous. xxoo
I think Grit would appeal to a guy. And for a girl I recommend the French Lieutenant's woman. A very good book, but does not appeal to people who don't like to read victorian fiction.
My profile photo says it all.
book? everyone has different taste preferences but must is star wars 1977 in several ways educational despite sci fi n also a classic must too.

Read this without producing the water ducts in your eyed
Well none but OJ's If I did it was pretty wild. Also Violent J From ICP has a pretty great audiobook about hustling and never giving up to become something. Anyway if I had to push a must read.. It would be.. My book coming out late 2024!
How many more questions, are you gonna ask? You're all over the place. Does Gag pay you?
by the way your taste in books $ucks (Alternative title: "how to be a cynical douche")
I don't think there are any particular books everyone must read, but I think everyone should be encouraged to read some nonfiction on subjects they're interested in.
the Doary of St. Faustina because that is not a fiction but a true to life story
I do recommend everyone to read books about Finance and Self Development.
My favourites are: Atomic Habits by James Clear, Rich Dad Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki
For novel: To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee
Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen cause it's the greatest work of fiction ever written and one of the most healthiest romances ever written.
I don't think you HAVE to read anything. Read whatever is most important to YOU. Or just read Atomic Habits by James Clear.
The Gulag Archipelago
1973 non-fiction book by Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn

Definitely a book that stuck around in my mind.
